Kyle regretted what he said Immediately but it was too late to apologise.
He wasn’t thinking when he said that, he was just angry and furious about what Erica said about pearl.
“Pearl I …!”, He said after her but she entered the car and drove off angrily with twinkle besides her.
Twinkle held on to her seat belt because pearl was just driving so fast with fury.
“I just hate that guy, who does he think he is? I hate him so much.. I hate him so mucccccchhhh.”, She kept on ranting.
“Pearl I think you should calm down or we will die.”, She said slowly hoping she would calm down.
“I’m sorry, I lost my cool.”, She apologized coming back to her senses and reducing her speed and twinkle released a breath of relief.
At least she wasn’t going to die today.

Kyle left the school and went to the office.
He looked so angry and disturbed, her facial Expression before she left disturbs him so much.
“Darling I have been waiting for you here, I went to your house but you already.”, Erica said and placed her li-ps on his.
“I’m sorry about that.”, He said not ready in the mood for a conversation.
“How did the meeting with the mistress go?”, She asked and he nodded.
“I think it went well.”, He replied.
“Are you okay Kyle?”, She said holding his hand and he nodded.
“It’s obvious something isn’t right, Kyle you always tell me everything, why can’t you tell me now? Is it about pearl?”, Erica asked but he did reply.
How can he tell her that he is worried because he said something he regrets to pearl.
“I’m worried about the kids.”, He said.
“You shouldn’t worry about them, they will be fine.”, She said hu-gging him.
“I love you Erica.”, He muttered and she smiled.
“Love you more.”, She replied.
# Next day
“Wait you said that?” Jayden asked puzzled.
“I was angry.”, He defended.
“You went too far this time.” Jay said and Kyle agreed.
“I know.”
“What did she mean by your mother who makes someone miserable just to protect his son?”
“I don’t know… I don’t un-derstand pearl at all, she’s too secretive, she keeps everything to herself.”, Kyle said.
“But didn’t you say that your mom didn’t like her, maybe that’s what she’s saying.”, Jay said.
“My mom didn’t like her but I spoke to her and everything was fine between them.” Kyle replied.
“Do you know how I see everything that is happening?”, Jay said smiling.
“I hope you say something sensible cos if you don’t I will throw you out of my office.”, Kyle threatened.
“I think all these are happening so that you and pearl can settle all your differences, find out why your marriage failed and get back together.”, He said.
“What? Get back together? That’s never happening, you don’t know how much I hate her right now.”, He said.
“I know you hate her but a part of you still feel something for her.”, He said sm-irking and Kyle frowned.
“You are spilling nonsense, you know I love Erica and I am getting married to her in 5 months. Pearl hates me and I hate her, the feeling is mutual.”, He said confidently.
“What do you see in Erica anyway? I don’t like her one bit.”, Jay asked and Kyle glared at him.
“Your opinion doesn’t matter okay? I think you should leave now.”, He snapped.
“The children doesn’t like her too.”, Jay added.
“They will learn to like her and treat her as a mother once I am married to her.”, He said and Jay shook his head.
“You shouldn’t marry the person you like and then for-ce your children to like but instead you should marry who they like and learn to love the person.”, Jay said and kyle furrowed his brow.
“You aren’t even in any serious relationship, I don’t nee-d any advice from you.”, He said.
“I think I know why pearl was so secretive, maybe it’s because you are not a good listener.”, He said but Kyle said nothing.

*Later that day*
“Are you still mad at her?”, Emma asked Ryan but he didn’t respond.
“Who?”, He pretended not to know who.
“Mom.”, She replied.
“I think she regrets leaving us and wants us back, please don’t be mean to her.” Emma said said and pouted and Ryan looked away.
“That’s the problem, I am not mad at mom anymore but there’s no use giving her a chance, dad is getting married to aunt Erica, we are going to be having another mom.” He said.
“I don’t like aunt Erica, can’t dad and mom get back together?”, Emma said in her low tiny voice.
“They can’t, they don’t love each other again. I think Mom has someone else she loves apart from dad.”, Ryan said.
“But I want them to be together… I don’t want aunt Erica, she doesn’t treat us well.”, Emma said tearing up.
“Don’t cry Emma, I have a plan.”, Ryan said and she stopped immediately wiping her tears.
“Why don’t we try to get them together?”, He suggested and Emma smiled.
“Are you in?”, He said asking for a high five.
“Am in.”, She said giving him high five.
“In for what?”, Erica asked entering their room.
“It’s none of your business.”, Ryan said and Erica scoffed.
“I already told you to respect me as your mom.”, She said p-ulling his ears.
“Aunt Erica you are hurting him.”, Emma cried hitting her hand and she released him.
“Lower your gaze.”, She said to Ryan who was glaring at her.
“Anyways I came to tell you about your slutty mom.”, She said.
“What is slutty?”, Emma asked and Erica closed her eyes in frustration.
“Ask your mom that when next you see her.”
“Your mom has been sleeping around with different men, she started cheating on your dad even before she left. She is a witch.”, Erica said.
“What’s cheating?”, Emma asked again but Erica managed to suppress her anger.
“She left your dad even when he didn’t do anything to her, she chose another man because she hates your dad so much.”, She said.
“She almost killed your dad and she wants to kill you too if I were you two I will chase her away.”, She said and left.
“Emma don’t believe her, she’s lying. Mom can never do that, she just wants us to hate mom.”, Ryan said and Emma nodded slowly.

Pearl took a sip of beer has memories kept flashing back.
She hates the fact that she remembers every single thing.
“I can never accept you because you are just useless”
“My son deserves someone more important that will make him prosperous”
“An orphan like you as something to offer and I am sure that your parents weren’t even wealthy while they were alive”
Pearl blinked back the tears as she continued to take her drink.
At least she did everything she could for Kyle’s mom change her opinion about her.
Her phone rang it was Carl. She wanted to ignore but she thought that Carl didn’t deserve the Ill treatment.
“Come and meet me in front of your ex-husband’s mansion, I am here right now.”, He said and her mouth opened in surprise.
“What? How did you get there? I mean when did you get there? Aren’t you supposed to be in Florida?”, she asked surprised.
“Let’s meet there, I will explain later.”, He said and she hung up.
She quickly pick up her car keys and headed to Kyle’s Mansion immediately.
She was supposed to be this worried but she really felt uneasy.
Why would he even go there to look for her of all places?
“I really think you should have called your girlfriend first before show where you are unwanted.”, Erica said to Carl.
“Ryan and Emma right? You guys are do beautiful like your mother.”, He complimented ignoring what Erica had said.
“Of course, they sure do.”, Erica said blus-hing.
“I was talking about their biological mom.”, He added and the smile disappeared.
“Who do you think he is to mom? Do you think he’s the one she loves?”, Emma asked Ryan.
“I don’t know.”, He replied.
“Who are you?”, Ryan asked icily looking at Carl in a strange way.
“You don’t remember me?” He said pointing at himself and smiling but they didn’t take the joke especially Ryan.
“If we knew, we weren’t be asking you.”, Emma snapped.
“Calm down kids okay? I’m…
“Carl what are you doing here?”, Pearl asked quickly rushing to him.
“I cane for you.”, He replied and furrowed her brow.
“We talked about this Carl.”, She said abruptly.
“Pearl I have missed you so much.”, He said as he drew her closer and placed his li-ps on hers and just then Kyle entered in his car.
He scoffed in disbelief and tried to control the anger boiling in him. How can they be love making in his house and in front of his kids?
