“Was it just a dream?”, Kyle wondered.
He had a dream that pearl asked him not to marry Erica.
“Maybe I was just imagining that.”
“Have we reached already?”, He asked and she cleared her throat.
“Almost. Should I drive to my hotel or I should take you home so that you can rest?”
“Your hotel, I can drive back home.”, He replied and she nodded.
“He didn’t hear what I said? Gosh!!!”
When they finally got to Pearl’s hotel, she came down and Kyle went back to his position.
“What’s your room number?”, He asked and she looked at him preplexed.
“I will have your car being sent to you and if I don’t know your room number, I would be able to send your car to you.”, He explained.
“107”, she replied.
“I will be going now, you should leave also.”, She said.
“I will leave after you leave.”, He said and she smiled.
“Am leaving now.”, She said still not making a move.
“Do you want something?”, He asked.

Pearl didn’t finish her statement before Kyle placed his li-ps on her cheek and she was flustered.
“Isn’t that what you wanted?”, He asked and she looked away in embarras-sment.
“We can be seen by anyone.”, She explained.
“That will be good, everyone will stop talking about you and Carl.”, He said.
“I am leaving already.”, She said still not moving and Kyle smiled.
“She is so cute.”, He muttered.
“I am really leaving this time.”, She said.
“Do you want me to escort you? Is that it?”, He asked.
“No … Bye.”, She said as she looked around before she ki-ssed him on his li-ps and Kyle’s eyes wide-ned in surprise.

“Daddy!!!”, Ryan and Emma called happily rushing to their dad as they hu-gged him.
“Why didn’t you come home yesterday?”
“We were worry that something bad Happened to you.”
“I’m sorry for making you guys worried, I was unable to come yesterday.”, He apologized.
“Did Mom call you? She didn’t visit us throu-ghout yesterday.”, Emma complained.
“She wasn’t around, she also went to California to visit her parents.”, He replied and Ryan and Emma looked at each other.
“Were you with Mom?”, Ryan asked.
“Not really – why aren’t you guys in school? Where is Nina?”, He asked looking around.
“Today is Saturday dad.”, Ryan said and he scratched his head.
“Dad tell us or we won’t leave you alone.”, Emma threatened.
“We were together throu-ghout the night, we couldn’t come because of the rain. I will appreciate it if you leave me alone now, I nee-d to wash up.”, He said as he hurriedly left for his room.
“Even God wants them back together.”, Emma said and Ryan agreed.

When pearl got to her room, she washed up and charged her phone to call twinkle.
Twinkle was finally able to rest when she received a call that she was okay.
Twinkle wanted to come check up on her but pearl refused, she said that she wasn’t going to be around.
She finally arrived Kyle’s mansion with her usual dress outfit.
She out on oversized hoodie, sunshade and nose mask.
“Mom!!!”, Ryan and Emma called happily seeing their mom.
Pearl hu-gged them ti-ghtly and smiled.
“I have missed you guys so much and I am sorry that I couldn’t visit you yesterday, I was busy with something.”
“It’s okay, daddy already explained everything.”, Ryan replied and she nodded looking around for Kyle.
She knew that he didn’t go to work because his car was parked outside.
“Daddy is in his room sleeping, he has been sleeping since he came, he claimed that he didn’t sleep throu-ghout the night.”, Ryan said.
“No I wasn’t looking for him.”, She denied but Ryan and Emma knew better.
“I would go and wake him.”, Ryan said as he ran inside.
“There’s no nee-d, I can wait…
Pearl was saying but Ryan was already out of view.
“Mom do you love Daddy?”, Emma asked and Pearl’s heart started beating fast.
“Why’d you ask that?”, She replied with a question.
“I just want to be sure because daddy said he still loves you but he said that you probably don’t love him anymore.”, Emma blurted and Pearl’s eyes wide-ned at her revelation.
“He said that?”, She asked and Emma nodded.
“Please love Daddy back, he is a good daddy and please don’t tell him that I told you, he asked us not to tell anyone.”, She said and Ryan came dragging Kyle outside.
Pearl looked at Kyle, he was sleepy but was trying his best to stay awake.
She smiled just watching him and she liked the way his hair was scattered. It made him look more cute.
“I told you that I …!”, Kyle was still complaining when he sneezed again.
Then suddenly she her smile disappeared.
“If you still love me, then why are you finding it ha-rd to tell me?”, She asked but in her mind.
“Did you ask them to wake me?”, He asked pearl and she shook her head.
“Jeez!!!”, He said frustrated as he went to the couch to continue his sleep.
“But dad mom is here. Don’t sleep”, Emma said shaking him.
“I really did not sleep yesterday.”, He said and suddenly his door opened.
It was Kyle’s mom and Erica.
“Oh I see that was Erica said was true.”, Mrs Corden said staring at pearl and the smile on Pearl’s face disappeared immediately.
In fact the sleep immediately disappeared from Kyle’s face seeing his mother.
“What are you doing here mom?”, He asked angrily and his mom arched her brow in shock.
“I came to make sure you don’t repeat the same mistake again by falling for the wrong person.”, She said.
“I think I should leave now.”, Pearl said becoming uncomfortable and somehow scared.
“No you are not going anywhere.”, He said holding Pearl’s hand and Erica and Mrs Corden gasped
Ryan … Emma… You guys should go to your room now.”, He instructed and they left immediately.
“We have to talk mom now.”, Kyle said leading the way and Mrs Corden followed but not after glaring ha-rd at pearl.
“I have really been wanting to ask this question, Are you in love with my finance.”, Erica asked pearl but she just looked down trying to avoid her.
“I un-derstand that Kyle is a very handsome and rich guy, so maybe girls want him but I want to remind you that you are his past and I am the future.”, She said.
“I know you are just too desperate to have Kyle but why are you offering yourself to him just because of his money, don’t you even value yourself? Don’t you have self worth? Everyone knows that I am the only one Kyle loves and we are getting married in few months.”, She said and pearl felt attacked.

“I know your history with Kyle, you should Kyle alone and go back to your lover. Why are you working so ha-rd to win the children over? They will address me as their mom in just few months.”, Erica said.
“I don’t care about what you say, the love I have for Kyle is pure. You can have Kyle all to yourself and go to hell afterwards.”, Pearl said.
“You should forget about your stupid love for Kyle, he is going to be mine very soon and he is going to treat me like his bride, he would touch me, he will be inside me and he will make me m-oan his name all over the house, you know what I mean right?”
“Stop being so confident, you aren’t even married to Kyle yet.”, Pearl said and walked out angrily.

“What do you mean by what did I say?”, She pretended not to un-derstand.
“You know what I am talking about mom, why did you do that? Didn’t you say you were already in good terms with her already? You told me you already accepted her”, He asked.
“I don’t un-derstand what you are talking about.”
“Stop lying to me for once!!!”, He yelled.
“You know I much I loved pearl that time, how could you treat her badly? Even though you didn’t like her, you should have given her a chance and see how much she loved me.”, He said as tears filled his eyes.
“I only did that to protect you Kyle, I am your mother and I want the best for you.”, She shouted back.
“Protect? You called that protection? You made me lose pearl, you put different ideas in her head. You made her go throu-ghhell, why did you say that I married her because I pitied her? You were aware how I much I loved pearl.”, Kyle said as tears rolled down his cheek.
“I just wanted you to marry someone better, someone who will be beneficial to you.”, She said.
“Money is not everything mom, I am so disappointed and angry with myself for listening to you when you said I shouldn’t go after pearl because she didn’t care a bit about me.”, He said.

“You were the cause of everything… I swear I will never forgive you mom, never!!!”, He said as he stormed out of the house angrily.
“Kyle!!!”, Mrs Corden called but he was gone already.
“Kyle are you okay?”, Erica asked trying to hold Kyle but he just pushed her away.
“Don’t touch me!”, He shouted and left.

Kyle called Jayden and asked him to grab a drink with him.
Jayden was really surprised because the only first and only time he drank was when pearl left him and the next morning, he vowed never to drink again.
“I think you are getting drunk Kyle.”, Jayden said collecting the drink from Kyle but the deadly glare made him return it.
“It was my mom — she was the main reason pearl left, she maltreated and made her doubt my love for pearl. Pearl time me everything yesterday night.”, He said as he took another gulp on the drink.
“I knew it … My instinct told me that you two were together.”, Jay said smiling and Kyle glared at him.
“Ok sorry! About what you said earlier, did you spend the night together? I mean did you have se-x?”, He asked as he winked and Kyle shook his head.
“I think I should have come here alone, you are making me feel worse.”, Kyle said.
“Ok let’s get to business, what did pearl say?”, Jay asked and Kyle explained everything to him.
“Oh so you guys ki-ssed?”, He said smiling and the glare on Kyle’s face made the smile disappeared.
“So how do you accept that you still love her? Or do you still love Erica?”, Jay asked and she shook his head.
“Anytime I close my eyes, it is only pearl I see, it is only her I keep thinking about.”, He replied and Jay smiled.
“It’s obvious that you love pearl and not Erica.”
“I feel so bad for pearl, I wasn’t there when she nee-ded me, I didn’t have time to listen to her. I didn’t even know what she went throu-ghjust because she wanted to be with me, I was just so stupid.”, He said and Jayden nodded.
“I agree.”, Jay said and he glared at him again.
“I think I am really going to die if you continue to glare that ha-rd at me.”, Jay said looking away from Kyle.
“What do I do now? I feel like I am so unworthy of her love, I don’t deserve her.”, He said gulping the whole bottle.
“Yes you aren’t, I agree on that.”, Jay said.
“I mean that she feels the same, so you are prefect for each other. Just show her how much you love her, let her feel loved again.”, Jay said.
“That is the only thing you have said that made sense since you came.”, Kyle said and Jay gasped.
“You really just be paying me, you know that others are dying outside to have a friend like me and here you are abusing the opportunity and treating me the way you like.”, Jay said boating and Kyle hissed.
“It’s not like you often speak sense anyway.”, Kyle hissed.
“Let’s break up then, let’s unfriend each other.”, Jay said and Kyle shook his head in disappointment.
“I think you are the drunk person here, pay for the drinks. I am leaving.”, Kyle said as he left.

“Good evening ma’am, there is one Mr Kyle that is here to see you. Should we let him in?”, The receptionist asked pearl.
“Kyle? Let him in.”, She said wondering what he was doing here.
After few minutes, he knocked on her door and she opened the door with shock on her face.
“What are you doing here and why are you drunk?”, She asked and Kyle walked pas-sed her, entering her room.
“Pearl I am sorry.”, He apologized as he hu-gged her ti-ghtly.
“You are drunk, I think you should go. I will take you home.”, She said and Kyle placed his li-ps on hers.
“I want you pearl.”, He said like a whisper and she shivered.
