AGE DOESN’T 🙅‍♀️
MATTER ♥
EPISODE 29

We both stayed like that and said nothing, other people’s chattering could be heard from afar and the cool breeze just sweetened the atmosphere.
I watched the lake as the wind danced on the water ma-king it create powerless and tiny waves.
My skin went cold and my blood went h0t immediately Jason hvgged me from behind.
His hands across my shoulders and his chin resting on my left shoulder.
“I’m asking for your permission, can we stay like this for just a second!” Jason’s breath on my ear made my legs weak.

“One! It’s pas-sed a second!” I found my voice and said.
Jason calmly laughed, “plea-se, Okay, just for five minutes!”
I rested my hands on the horizontal railings of the bridge and Jason ti-ght£ñed his hands a bit around my shoulder and rested his head more on my shoulder.
We both remained quiet as we listened to other people’s distant voices.
It was actually nice, the hvg from Jason, it was warm and I’ve never had something like that before.
“Isn’t five minutes over yet?” I asked even if I didn’t want it to be over.
Jason didn’t reply.
“Jason?” I called.
“I can hear you!” He said and I adjusted my head, his breath inside my ear was ma-king my blood boil in a way I couldn’t take it anymore.
“Okay… Five minutes is over!” I tell him.
“What? That felt like two minutes!” Jason whined.
“Why are you even doing this anyways! Are you getting something from hvgging me?” I asked in a teasing manner.
“Well I am!” he said resting his chin on my shoulder.
“And what would that be.”
“I don’t know, the best belated birthday gift ever!” He smiled.
“Huh?” I laughed.
“I don’t know, I guess I couldn’t take it anymore standing close to you and being able to hvg you or anything, cause your tiny b©dy is just welcoming!” Jason expound.
I let out a nervous laugh. “Next time. Keep your honesty to yourself!”
“Why?” Jason asked.
“It’s ma-king me feel…
“Feel what?” Jason added when I couldn’t complete my words.
“Feel… I don’t know… I’m flattered and also it’s ma-king me feel bashful.” I breathed out.
“Bashful is it?” Jason repeated and I felt him leave my b©dy and suddenly the warmth was gone and the cold wind took over my b©dy again.
So that is what a back embr@ce feels like.
Jason stood beside me and smiled looking towards the lake. Somehow I wanted him to hvg me back, but I couldn’t find my voice to say that.
“So my honesty is ma-king you bashful” Jason asked and I turned to him.
“You’re not going to tease me being honest about me being flattered with your honesty are you?” I scoffed.
“Of course not, I mean I’m just saying, if my honest words can make you flattered and bashful, then what would my honest actions make you feel?”.
“What?” I narrowed my eyes at him.
“What stupid honest actions!” I scoffed.
“I don’t know maybe a k!ss.!” He said in a quiet tone and gave a big smile.
“I don’t know maybe NO!” I mimicked his tone and he sighed.
“Right I dreamt too big didn’t I?” he asked and I nodded.

“Well I couldn’t ask for more but I’m really glad, I c@m£ to this d@t£ with you, I am so glad you c@m£ to this d@t£ with me, should I just write a book about today being my happiest day!” Jason said joyfully.
“You should, so your memories won’t just go down the drain” I smiled and he laughed. “You and your clas-sic jokes!”.
“Yep” I laughed too.
“But seriously I can write a book about today and the pages would be filled with the excitement and delightful feeling I’m feeling right now!” Jason breathed out.
“Okay” I laughed. “It’s inappropriate to ask this, so give me your permission!”
“Anything is fine by me, go on ask me?” Jason was really delightful being here, cause I could see it in his eyes.
“On a scale of one to ten, how much do you like me?” I looked up at him.
He smiled. “Ten!”
“Whoa!” I looked down.
“Thank you!” I silently said.
“For what?” he asked.
“For liking me” I breathed out and also to Neil, wherever he is now, I want to Thank him for liking me too.
Jason gave a nervous laugh. “I should be the one thanking you!” He stated.
“What do you mean?”
“Thank you, for letting me like you!” Jason smiled.
“Huh?” I was speechless but I did manage to say that.
“You know my mom found out about my feelings for you and told me never to tell you, cause you’ll probably never give me a chance to like you, nee-dless to say, go on a d@t£ with you, but I mean look at now, we’re on a d@t£ and it’s just like a dream to me! I’m really grateful!” Jason smiled.
“Come here Jason!” I smiled as I spre-ad out my hands for him. Letting him know he could give me a normal front hvg.
He paused and looked at me, then at my open hands.
“What?” I asked.
“You really want me to h-
“Should I pretend I never asked for it?” I rolled my eyes at him, about to drop my hands when he let out a smile and quic-kly hvgged me.
“Why are you being so nice to me today!” Jason asked as he hvgged me ti-ghter
“I’m not sure either, maybe I’m seeing your good sides too!” I tell him.
Or maybe it’s something else. Something new.
**
Jason and I ended our d@t£ on wave lake and after watching the sun set together, we started to leave. Wave lake just took the whole day and it was one heck of a day.

Walking along the quiet street, the streetlights brightened up the whole place and it was just beautiful.
“You know I’ve never really been on a d@t£ like this before” Jason said.
“Yeah I know!” I replied.
“Huh? How did you know?”
“Who would want to go on a d@t£ with you?” I tea-sed.
“What? What I meant was I have been on a d@t£ before but the d@t£ wasn’t as fun as this one, don’t misinterpret” Jason gave a nervous laugh.
“Oops my bad!” I laughed.
“Yeah your bad.” he added.
“Wait!” Jason paused and st©pped walking.
“What?” I asked.
“This route we’re taking is the route that leads to my house.” Jason said.
“Yeah so?” I shrugged.
“Are you walking me home?” He asked.
“Yeah, is there anything wrong with that?” I asked.
“Yes everything is wrong with that, why would you walk me home, I’m supposed to walk you home, you’re the female not the male!” Jason yelled disappointed me.
I sighed “Well, sorry, cause actually we nee-d to take this route for me to actually get to my own route, take the bus and then go home, so I’m actually going home and walking you home at the same time, so… don’t misun-derstand!” I said and he suddenly wore a flu-shed expression.
“Yep! Come on let’s keep walking!” I said and we both start to walk again.
“Next time, we’ll take another easier route for you and I’ll be walking you home then!” Jason stated.
I smiled. “Do you think there will be a next time between us?”
“Won’t there be… A next time?” Jason’s voice was sad.
“I don’t know, it’s up to you, to be honest I really enjoyed today’s d@t£, so it won’t hurt going on another d@t£, don’t you think?” I smiled.
I did have fun today and then there was that moment at wave lake Bridge.
“So you’re saying we can go on another d@t£?” Jason’s psyched voice made me laugh.
“Hmm, sure why not” I shrugged with a smile and he breathed out a sigh-smile.

We both got to Jason’s house and Jason laughed out loud as he said. “This is crazy, it feels like you’re dropping me off, it feels crazy, so weird and awkward!”.
“It’s not weird. I’m just saying good night and not dropping you off but taking my own route home.” I made it clear to him and he smiled.
“Okay, now that feels less awkward!” Jason grinned.
“Okay then good night and I’ll see you here on Monday!” I smiled.
“Oh yeah, right!” He sounded a bit sad.
I don’t know why though, shouldn’t he be glad he’ll be seeing me again?. Cause I am glad I will.

“Good night then!” Jason smiled and started to come closer.
Wait!
I was starting to panic.
Is he about to k!ssme?
Well it was just a k!ssbut the thought of it being just a k!ss.
Ourl-ips were alre-ady an inch away when I placed my hands on his che-st and pushed him back a bit.
“Sorry!” I apologized.
He grinned sadly. “It’s okay” he said.
I don’t know why, I don’t know but a k!ss?? On a first d@t£?.
“I’ll be taking my leave now!” I smiled one last time before leaving him.
.
#JASON
I watched as Elsa left my side and I smiled.
I didn’t know why I wanted to k!ss, I didn’t know why I was being so h0t blooded.
Like she’d allow me to k!ssher. Letting me go on a d@t£ with her was enough. I hope I didn’t mess up by my actions.
I walked inside the living room still feeling about today. And I met my mom in the living room wearing her favourite robe my dad got her and talking to Dessera with a cu-p of tea in her hand.

“Oh Jason, you’re back!” She smiled as she saw me.
“Yeah, how have you been?” I smiled as I walked pas-sed her.
“I’ve been great, you seem to be in a good mood! What’s the secret!” She grinned at me.
“There is no secret, happiness is free!” I sm-irked as I made it throu-gh the stairs and to my room.
I took my jacket off my b©dy and did the same thing with my shoes.
I heard a knock on my door and yelled “come in”
The door opened and my mom walked in smiling from ear to ear.

“Mom? What are you–
“Okay, Jason I’m so sorry!” she quic-kly apologized.
I hate when she apologizes.
“What did you do wrong this time behind my back!” I narrowed my eyes at her.
“Sorry I have to be this mom, but can’t I pry a little bit? I’m your mother, let me in of things that happens around you with me. Huh, come on!” She said with pleading eyes and I sighed.
“Okay, what do you want this time,”
She suddenly smiled. “I heard from Elsa’s mom you went on a d@t£ with her!”
My b©dy smiled remembering the d@t£, but I didn’t let my mom see that smile
“Do you have to go on about everything” I asked sitting on my be-d.
“Not everything, just a little bit, how was the d@t£?” she asked.
“It was my fine!” I rushed my words.
“Did you like it?” she asked.
I looked up at her. “Would I have said it was fine if I didn’t like it?” I retorted.
“Oops” she laughed. “Didn’t mean to get on your bi-polar side, I just wanted to know if Elsa didn’t act strange or…
“And by strange you mean disgusted she went on a d@t£ with someone younger than her. No mom she was the sweetest and we didn’t even care about age while we were together, just like you do!” I expound and my mom g@sped.
“Well that is wonderful”
“Yes it is and guess what? She said we can totally go on billions of d@t£s ap@rt from this one and it’s just up to me!” I said with proud and my mom gave an unre-adable sigh.
“Well if she is doing all this and saying all this, it only means one thing. She’s either going on a d@t£ with you because of pity, or the feeling you have for her is mutual between the two of you!” my mom explained.
Mutual?
I hope so.!

“I don’t know mom, can we talk about this another time!” I said.
“sure, but one last thing, just so you know that after tonight, things are going to change between the two of you, there won’t be a Jason and Elsa teaching lesson anymore” my mom stated.
“What? Are you going to st©p her from tutoring me?” I asked.
“No way!” my mom smiled. “Either she’s going to quit. Or you’re going to make her quit!” my mom said and walked out of my room.

*Final episode
EPISODE 30 😁
#ELSA
It was Monday morning, as usual, I did my morning routine and went downstairs for breakfast.
I had breakfast alone that morning because my dad had left for work and my mom too, she’s now strong and firm like the incident never happened.
As I crunched on my corn flakes, I added more liquid milk in my plate and flooded the flakes.
I looked at my spoon and let out a sigh.
The thought of facing Jason today was really weird.
I mean we did go on a d@t£ on Saturday, one of the best d@t£s I’ve ever been to, and yesterday we spent the whole Sunday night flir-ting over our text messages.
I sighed as I shoved the spoon in my mouth.
I know, so I’m not going to pretend but I do like Jason. But still having him as my student was one thing.
After having breakfast I had an extra apple and went back to be-d. I opened my phone and start to re-re-ad our conversations from last night.
I rolled my eyes and dropped my phone back on the be-d.
“This is just sad!” I murmured to myself.
It’s not like we’re d@t!ngor anything, but it’s not just about the teacher – student relationsh!panymore, it’s more like a teacher student relationsh!pwith feelings. If that makes any s-en-se.

I spent half of the day pondering on that that till it was time for me to leave the house and go finally visit the Jason, who has clearly been on my mind.
Dang it.!
Dressed in one of my best dress, I appeared in front of my wall mirror to see how pretty my reflection might be. The dress was nice on my b©dy, but I wasn’t.
I opened my small jewelry box I ha-rd ly ever open and gr@bb£d my earrings and a plain simple silver n£¢klace.
I wore them both and admire them on me. But still I wasn’t looking good enough.
Just as I start to brush my hair down, I laughed to myself.
I must be joking right now.
I’ve never cared about how pretty I must look whenever I’m going over to the hvggins. This is just crazy.
I packed my hair up and re-moved the earrings I wore leaving the n£¢klace on my n£¢k.
Am I doing all this for Jason?
I glanced my reflection and rolled my eyes at myself.
Clas-sic me.

I walked out of the house and before I knew it, I was at the bu st©p. The bus c@m£ about two minutes later and everyone at the bus st©p walked in.
The drive to the hvggins was fast as there was no traffic and no traffic is the best.
I got to the hvggins residence and as usual Mrs. hvggins was dressed in her all-too expensive dress and shoes and looked great.
“Oh you’re here!” she smiled.
“Yeah!” I nodded.
“Oh and Elsa you’re not going for full lesson today, you can round everything today by five pm.” Mrs. hvggins smiled.
“Huh? Really why?” I asked. Though it was great and was less work for me.
“Jason’s dad will be coming home today and we will be having a family dinner tonight to welcome his arrival!” Mrs. hvggins smiled.
Oh.
“Okay, un-derstood!” I nodded.
I was about walking away when Mrs hvggins called me back and I turned around.
“Yeah?” I asked.
She looked like she wanted to say something but suddenly shook her head Negatively. “Nothing” she smiled.
I nodded and walked away, if she has anything to say to me, she better spit it out.
I got to Jason’s room and placed soft knocks on the door.
“It’s open!” Jason’s voice could be heard from the inside.
I opened the door and walked in.
Jason was busy with his phone, his f!ngerstapped on his phone multi-ple times and he dropped his phone immediately he noticed.

“Hey” I gave a nervous smile.
Why was I suddenly nervous.
“HI!” he replied as he stood up from his be-d and walked over to the chair in front of his study desk.
I joined him sitting on the other chair and dropped my bag on his desk.
“So your mom said we will be having a short lesson today, cause your dad will be coming home tonight” I expound.
“Yeah!” Jason nodded.
We both remained quiet as I pu-ll out the math text book from bag and dropped it on the desk.

“So… How are you?” Jason asked out of the blue.
I turned to him. “I’m fine!” I scoffed.
“Well that’s good!” He laughed nervously.
“What’s the sudden question Jay, feeling nervous about today’s lesson?” I asked, calm and cool, like I wasn’t nervous.
Well I was nervous.
We both are. I don’t know if he could tell that about me. But I can totally tell that about him, he’s nervous.
We went on one d@t£, just one d@t£, must it be so awkward to be face to face like this. A lot happened that day that opened my heart, and now I’m nervous because I’m new to this kind of weird feeling.

“I don’t know why I asked that forgive me!” Jason laughed.
“Well it’s okay, you’re forgiven!” I sm-irked.
I should be awarded for being the best actress of the air.
I was doing well hiding the awkwardness I was feeling and the nervousness I was feeling.
We both started to work on a certain t©pic and Jason was doing great listening but when it was time for him to attempt on a question I gave him, he couldn’t, he kept ma-king the mistake over and over.
He apologized severally as I watched him solve the equation, but all of a sudden slammed his pen against his desk.
“I can’t do this!” he sighed.
“What do you mean?” I gently asked. “The equation is pretty easy you just have to–
“It’s not about the equation! It’s easy I know that, but I just can’t let my mind rely on just the equation that’s why I’m ma-king so many mistake!” He yelled.
“Why are you suddenly getting mad?” I yelled too. In a worrisome way.
“I’m not mad at you, I’m mad at myself!” He sighed.
“Why, what’s wrong?” I asked, dropping my pen too.

He sighed and pushed his hair back, that action was attrac-tive I can’t lie.
“I’m angry, I just wish… I just wish…
“You just wish what?” I persuaded.
“I just wish I was older, or you were younger, that way things would have been easier!” Jason expound rushing his words.
“Huh? What are you talking about! But you’re the one who said age doesn’t really matter and I’m finally letting myself believe on that term cause it doesn’t okay!” I explained and he looked at me.
“You are?” He asked and I nodded. “But why, why are you acting like this!” Jason asked.
“Acting like what?”
“Acting like our d@t£ never happened!”.
“How do you expect me to act!” I was confused. Where is Jason trying to go with this conversation! I asked myself.
Jason sighed and in a calm voice he started “Well you walked in my room and suddenly act like everything is normal between us. I mean we did went on that d@t£ and I don’t want anything to be normal between us, and this, this stupid lesson we’re having, I don’t even want it either, my mom was right after all.”
“Right about what? I’m confused, our d@t£ happened, yes it happened we both know it did, but I don’t know what you want me to do about it or how you want me to act about it” I explained moving some strand of my hair back.
I getting heat up.
“That’s not what I meant, I know you can’t do anything about it, but still shouldn’t we acknowledge the d@t£ at least talk about it, and this lesson we’re having it su-cks. Cause somehow I don’t want you teaching me anymore, I’ve learned enough I hate how I feel suffocating and nervous right now, I hate how I feel small and worthless right now!” Jason sighed.
“So you want me to quit my job, you want a better pri-vate tutor is that it?” I asked not looking at him but my ball pen.
“If I can’t have a tutor like you then I rather not have anyone. But still yet I don’t want you to tutor me anymore, it’s embarras-sing, there I said it!” Jason sighed and I nodded.
Now I un-derstand where he is coming from.
“Look Jason” I t©uçhed his shoulder so he’d turn to me. “you don’t have to feel inferior just because I’m older and you went on a d@t£ with me, you’re the male here try to act like one, Yes I know for you it’s embarras-sing to sit with me here, because you’re feeling inferior, you don’t have to feel that way. Cause honestly I am nervous right now!”
“Why would you be nervous” he rolled his eyes.
“That’s the point, why should I be nervous, but then again. I am nervous, because of you Jason!” I stated and he paused.
I smiled. “Would you feel less inferior if you tell you I tried to look pretty before coming here, which I haven’t done before!”.
He said nothing as he watched his book, his expression softening.
“You made yourself and I un-derstand the term age doesn’t matter, and make yourself rely on that belief, cause I have. You proved that to me two nights ago!” I sighed.
Jason shifted in his seat “I just feel like… I don’t know… I just feel like I’m not enough for you and you’re probably never going to like me!”.
“You don’t have to be enough for me or anyb©dy, cause you’re not food or water that we consume. You just have to be you and that is fine by everyone including me. And who said I’m probably never going to like you, Jason I’m trying to let you in, and little by little. It’s working and I should get a good job for that!” I said and he turned to me immediately.
“Y…you are?” he asked and I nodded with a smile and stood up.
He tried to smile but something else was eating him up.
“I’m going to quit!” I tell him sitting on the desk. “Not just for you, for me too, I’ve gotten where I wanted to be in and like I said before. My first pay is alre-ady enough!”.
Jason swallowed his smile. “I’m sorry for being selfish and ma-king you quit!”
“I just said it’s not just for you, I’m quitting on my own terms too!” I smiled trying to lighten up the mood.
“Can be I selfish again?” Jason looked up at me.
“selfish about what?” I looked down at him.. But he stood up towering me.
“selfish about being your b©yfri£nd!” he rushed his words.
I blinked ra-pidly as I watched him. I should have expected this why is my b©dy overreacting.

“Elsa?” his worried expression made me sigh on the inside.
“It won’t hurt will it?” I smiled.
He raised his eyebrows in a quizzical manner at me not un-derstanding what I meant.

I sighed. “Being my b©yfri£ndwon’t hurt and of course you can be selfish”.
I nee-d someone selfish to open my heart again.
He let’s out a wi-de smile as he looked sideways in his room, I know I have let him speechless and I smiled too.
I am proud of myself.

Unexpectedly I felt hisl-ips press against mine and my blood rushed throu-gh my head in one go. Leaving my legs to weaken.
Unlike me, my b©dy responded to the k!ssand I felt my hands wra-p around his n£¢k.
We were both eating each other up and I laughed at the back of my mind.
Look at me going crazy for just a k!ss, why won’t I. When I’ve rejected ever offer I got.
#

“You’re quitting?” Mrs. hvggins g@sped and I nodded adjusting my bag on my b©dy.
“Why?” Mrs hvggins seemed sad.
I sighed
Let’s tell her the truth and see her reaction.

“Jason and I are d@t!ngand how do you expect our relationsh!pto be if I still teach him pri-vately! And besides, the money you decided to pay me on my first pay is enough for me, more the enough”
Mrs. hvggins g@sped and then paused. “You… you’re not jokinh. You mean, my Jason and you… Are in a relationsh!p?”
“Yeah!” I smiled.
“But… But I thought you didn’t like him.”
I smiled. “I do. Not to the level of feelings he has for me, but I’m trying to let someone in Mrs. hvggins”.
“I un-derstand!” she smiled.
She suddenly hvgged me and breathed out a smile.
I don’t un-derstand why she’s hvgging me though.
“I’m going to miss you being here elsa” she said dis£ngaging the hvg.
“Me too! But don’t worry I’ll come visit if you or Jason wants me to” I said in as-surance and she smiled.
“Thank you Elsa!”
“For what?” I asked
“For everything”.

I got home that evening when I received an alert, from Mrs. hvggins it was my salary and it made me g@sp.
It more than, more than what I called enough earlier.
I quic-kly called her and she picked in one go, and immediately I went straight to the point.

“Mrs. hvggins I received and alert and I just wa-
“Yeah, that is your salary we talked about!” she said cheerfully on the phone.
“This isn’t what we talked about, this is too much, Did you pay me this much just because I’m d@t!ngyour son? If it is then I’m not d@t!nghim, you’re just buying me!” I explained. Grateful but disappointed. She shouldn’t do this.
She yelled “What? No! No way, that is not for Jason, that extra payment is from me. Elsa I like you so much, you’ve been very helpful to me. You’ve been my listener, my only talk buddy, you should have noticed I don’t have any friends, and that’s why you’ve been my only friend, and now you’re suddenly leaving, I feel like my thank you for being here isn’t enough for me, that’s why I’m doing this, plea-se accept and no it is not for Jason, I’ve learned never to pry in his life. I don’t care what he does it’s his life. Still thank you for everything Elsa!”
I smiled.
“It’s okay Mrs. hvggins I un-derstand!” truly, I have been her only friend.
We ended the call and I smiled.

I sighed repeatedly as I stood impatiently waiting for my b©yfri£nd.
We both planned to meet this fine Saturday and he’s late. Well second d@t£s won’t always be like the first one.
“Elsa, I’m so sorry!” I heard Jason’s voice behind me and I turned rolled my eyes.
“You’re twenty minutes late!” I snarled showing him my watch.
“Sorry, I was going to get this” He said pu-lling out a flower that looked like it got chopped down my mice with their teeth.
“Is that supposed to be a flower?” I asked.
“What the hell?” he yelled as he looked at the flowers and sighed. “the flowers did get runned over by a cat” He said and dropped the flowers letting it die on the ground.
“Well anyways, you know the rules. You late you–
“I give you a piggyback ride!” Jason completed rolling his eyes.
“Good. You know the drill” I laughed.
“Okay, I have no problem giving you a piggyback ride, you’re as light as a feather!” Jason sm-irked.
“That was offensive!” I shut my eyes.
“Sorry” he laughed and walked in front of me. He arc his b©dy and said. “Get on!”
“Get on why!” I looked at him.
“The piggyback ride!” he smiled.
“That was a joke, I wasn’t really going to get on your back!” I said hitting his w@!st with my knee.
“Ouch!” he said standing straight.
“Ohh sorry did that hurt?” I said sarcastically and he gave me a look.
“That’s it!” he said and swoop me off the ground carrying me bridal style.
“Jason!” I yelled.
“I was right, you’re as light as a feather” he grinned.
“Put me down Jason people are watching!” I said, knowing the street we were was as empty as a grave yard.
“What people, you mean those trees!”
“Still just put me down!” I yelled.
“No can’t do!” he said and laughed, a laughter that echoed throu-gh the whole street.
And that is us for you.
We’re happy. We don’t want more we don’t want less.
Who cares if my b©yfri£ndis eighteen and I’m twenty one.
What matters is the love that we share. The smile we give, the joy that follows it and the day that brings it.
