AGE DOESN’T
MATTER
EPISODE 3

“Okay so what t©pic did you guys st©pped at, in school!” I asked to know where to start with the tutoring.
“I don’t know!” he shrugged.
I scoffed. “How can you… I mean, why the hell won’t you know, are you joking with me right now!!!” I yelled ma-king him flin-ch.

Okay Elsa calm down! I tell myself and I breathed In and out before turning back to him.

“I’m not joking, I always skip math clas-s at school” he said with a smile.
He thinks this is funny, I can’t believe this kid.

“Look Jason I’m trying to communicate with a normal human being can you plea-se talk like one.” I barked and he laughed and stood up, he’s pretty tall, but not intimid@t!ngat all.
“I am not normal.” he said and about to walk away when the room to his door opened and his mom walked in with tea in biscuits in a tray.
Mrs hvggins laughed nervously “Don’t mind me me I just c@m£ to drop this for you Elsa and to ask how the lesson is going.”
Jason halted and grinned. “The lesson is going great mom.”
“Oh perfect!” Mrs hvggins said happily as she dropped the tray on Jason’s be-d.
“I’ll be leaving now, I don’t want to disturb you two!” she smiled, about to walk away when I called her back.
“Mrs hvggins?”
“Yes Elsa,” she turned swiftly.
Jason’s head quic-kly snapped at me waiting to hear what i would say.
“Actually the lesson is a mess… Jason won’t listen to me and also wanted to skip this lesson just like the way he skips math clas-s at school” I narrated and Jason haw dropped hearing all I’ve said.
Mrs hvggins g@sped heavily. “My goodness!” she exclaimed.
Jason glared at me and I have him a sm-irk,
He turned to his who was boiling.
“You skip math clas-s??” she yelled.
“Look mom I can explain.” Jason stated.
“Explain what?” his mom anger was extending.
And she started to yell “Jason don’t un-derstand you, you used to be a br@niac when it comes to math, in middle school, but now I don’t un-derstand you anymore, you keep failing math and now you’re skipping clas-s too.! Jason don’t you want to go to college, do you want to repeat your final grade, cause I can make you repeat it a thousand times.!”

Jason sighed. “Look mom people change okay?”
This kid is sure going throu-gh one hell of puberty. I couldn’t hold my laugh.
“Change? In a stupid way is that it? And I’m against your change and trust me your father is going to hear about this.” Mrs hvggins threatened.
“What?” Jason yelled! “You’re going to tell dad?”
Looks like he’s afraid of his father, well that’s a good start.
“Why not and that stupid little eighteenth birthday you’ve been planning to have your whole life isn’t going to happen.” Mrs hvggins explained and I smiled.
I better hold on to my laughter.

“What? I’ve alre-ady invited my friends over!” Jason said.
“Well you’re going to give them another invitation card that says your birthday isn’t happening.” Mrs hvggins tells him.
“Seriously mom! Don’t be that kind of mom!” Jason huffed angrily.
“I am alre-ady that kind of mom can’t you see David for instance, he’s studious, handsome and very good in all in his subject, compared to you,” Mrs hvggins said ma-king her son roll his eyes
“Don’t compare me to that geek, David is a loser.” Jason scoffed.
“He’s not a loser Jason, you are, a big one what’s so ha-rd about math that you’re running away from it, and your bad grades make you a loser.”
Watching his mom reprimand him is quiet fun.
“I don’t care.” Jason tries to act cool.
“You don’t care? Oh okay well your birthday which is in six days will not be happening if you can’t focus on your study or concentrate on this lesson.” Mrs hvggins threatened folding her hand.
“Seriously mom you can’t do that to me.” Jason stated.
“Nope. Until you learn how to learn and focus your birthday might happen, but if you misbehave then your birthday is canceled, no stupid p@rty in my house.” Mrs hvggins stated
“Sure, whatever.” Jason said, relinquished.

“Now go sit down.” his mother instructed and he sadly walked up to the chair I asked him to sit minutes ago and sat down.
“And I’ll be heading out now, make sure to help yourselves with the biscuits, and miss Elsa plea-se do not fail to give me feedback about this lesson.” Mrs hvggins smiled.
“Oh of course I wouldn’t fail to do that!” I stated.
“Good.” Mrs hvggins said before walking out.

I turned to Jason who seemed bored alre-ady.
“Now back to business.” I stated with a mocking smile looking at Jason.
“You’re one tough one aren’t you, but don’t worry I’ll make you stay and then leave within just a week.” Jason stated.
“Okay fine by me. As long I get paid within a week and look Jason you may running away from books now, but I tell you, it’s the only way” I advised.
“Oh really?” he looked at me with calm eyes. “But guess what?” he asked.
I looked at him

“I said guess what?” he repeated.
I sighed. “what?”
“I don’t fv¢king care.” he stated and I rolled my eyes.
“Now focus on the textbooks will you?” I said and turned his head toward the books on the table.

“Since you’re dumb and don’t know where to start from I’ll be introducing a new t©pic to you” I smiled bitterly.
“Are you sure you’re not sixteen?” he’s trying to piss off.
But he doesn’t know who I am.
“What? Do I look prettier than your girlfriend?” I rolled my eyes.
“You wish!” he laughed. “The Sk-irt my girlfriend gave out for charity last week looks prettier than you, nee-dless to say you looking prettier than my girlfriend!” Jason said and I sighed.
“Okay fine. Your girlfriend is pretty now can you study and get your dumb br@in filled with something, at least act like your age for once and st©p acting like a d!¢k okay!” I know my cusses were too much, but I don’t care.

*
Finally after ma-king the teenage boy focus on his books, we went throu-gh a t©pic I picked out and though he seemed like he didn’t want to listen that he wouldn’t un-derstand, he still listened, and when I gave him one of the equations to solve, he failed it with no hesitation.
I made him un-derstand it even more and then gave him an as-signment, before ending the lesson.
Mrs hvggins thanked me as I left and before I knew it I was on my way home.
*-
I got home by 8pm and immediately head to my room, I decided not to shower cause it was a cold night and I’m too lazy to take off my clothes, I later found my mom alre-ady asleep in her room, she must be pretty tired.
I was stuffing my face with apples when my dad c@m£ home. We both talked briefly about my job, he asked if it was stressful but I told him it wasn’t.
It was stressful though. Jason was a handful. But I can’t tell my dad that.
We both had dinner together and it was great I didn’t have dinner immediately cause I get to eat with him and he wouldn’t eat alone like every other days.
We both tired to our room and after crawling un-der my blanket I closed my eyes, made a brief silent prayer and my b©dy rested and fell asleep
.
I woke up by 11am in the morning, thank Goodness my work starts from three in the afternoon. It gave me enough time to sleep, eat, do whatever I want before going to work.
*-
It was five minutes to three and I was alre-ady dressed and re-ady to go to work, when Mrs hvggins called me to ask me if I was coming? I told her yes.
I mean why wouldn’t I? Gosh she’s funny.

I made it to work by 3:20pm giving Jason enough time to get back from school and have lunch at the same time, and as I got into the hvge residence of the hvggins, the security guy recognised me immediately and greeted me with the most sweetest smile.
He led me into the house and seeing me Mrs hvggins held the brightest smile ever.
I looked up the stairs and found Jason dressed in all Jean and looking at me… You know that kind of hateful look. I smiled at him and he rolled his eyes.
Another day of Jason syndrome

“Okay you c@m£ at the right now Jason’s all re-ady” Mrs hvggins said and I nodded seeing he’s re-ady.

“Okay then Mrs hvggins I’ll take it from here” I smiled at her and ascended up the glamorous stairs.
Jason walked away and I as-sumed he walked to his room, and I was right, cause when I got to his room he was alre-ady there pla-ying with his tennis ball.
“Okay Jason good afternoon.!” I said cheerfully trying to be polite today.
“Don’t try to act like we’re friends” Jason shook his head.
“So you’re not going to drop the rude act, you’re not going to svçkup that disgusting attitude of yours?” I rolled my eyes as I walked up to his study desk and placed my bag, bringing out all my books and pens.
“If you drop yours I’ll drop mine?” He said and I laughed. Join us on telegram page to re-ad and enjoy more stories from there throu-gh ome on+2348137438356 .
“Okay then Jason, plea-se come have a sit!” I said as politely as ever.
He rolled his eyes as he walked up to the sit beside me and sat down.
He still doesn’t want to drop his rude attitude. Whatever.
*
“Okay, before we begin our t©pic for today, can I see you as-signment?” I asked.
And he gave me a hateful look before pu-lling the drawer un-der his desk and bringing out a book from it.
He opened the book to his as-signment and I took it from him, he failed every question I gave him yesterday now let’s see how he did with the as-signment.
I raised the book to my face and studied what he solved.
Wait?
Wow!!

“Did you do this yourself?” I turned to him.
“Why do you ask that of course I did!” He said not looking at me but at the tennis ball he was bouncing on the desk.
“Are you sure?” I asked.
“Of course who else would do that” he rolled his eyes.
Somehow I want to believe him but I couldn’t, he failed all the tests I gave him yesterday and now he actually aced this as-signment.
“Well I don’t believe you.” I tell him honestly.
“You don’t have to.” he replied.
Some teenagers are just so… obnoxious.
“Okay well I don’t, and now I’m going to be giving you another test on this t©pic which you will be solving in front of me.” I tell him and he shrugged and la-id back on his seat.
“Whatever”.
“And plea-se try to sound polite, I hate having bu-tt heads around me.” I tell him in a cool mature way.
“And you think calling me bu-tt head is nice?” he scoffed.
“Maybe if you sound polite I’ll try my best not to call you names.” I smiled at him.
And I noticed he hates when I smile. So that makes me smile more often.

His phone suddenly ring and he looked at me.
“I have to go out and take this!”
“I don’t think so, you can answer it here in front of me.” I said.
“But… Whatever” he sighed and picked the call placing the phone on his ear.

I listened to his conversation as I observed his as-signment again.

“No like I told you, I can’t come! I’m stuck here with miss… You know.” he rolled his eyes.
Yep he’s stuck here with me.
“No no… yeah go on without me, and sure” he added.

“No, I don’t know, I think my mom’s lying to me, and no she’s not pretty and her teaching su-cks.”
I sighed as I sat down and listened to Jason badmouth about me with his friends.
Well I’m here for his parents money, I don’t care what he actually says about me.
And what the hell… I know I’m pretty.

Jason cut the call and I turned to him. “You done?” I asked and he shrugged.
He was waiting for me to talk about his phone conversation, I noticed that, but I ignored it and Started the lesson.
I wrote down an equation question on his book from the t©pic we treated yesterday and told him to solve it himself.
I have to know if he’s really the one who did the as-signment or maybe he paid some geek to help him do it.

Jason gr@bb£d his pen and I adjusted my b©dy on his desk and focus on his hand on the book,
“Okay see Elise, one thing about me is that I don’t like working on an equation in front of people.” he said and I scoffed.
“Okay saying that, you’re ma-king me doubt that you really did this equation yourself” I tell him. “And for your information it’s Elsa not Elise”.
“I did the as-signment myself and I don’t nee-d to prove nothing.” He said.
“Do the equation Jason.” my eyes pierced his and my harsh voice made him sigh and Pick up his pen again.
I watched as Jason solved the equation in front of my eyes without ma-king a single mistake and after writing and concluding the final answer he dropped his pen and said “done!” which left me completely speechless.
Okay wait. Am I dreaming right now?

EPISODE 4

Okay I’ve been doubting Jason for not being the one who has done his as-signment himself, but looks like I was wrong cause he just completed a whole page equation in front of my eyes without miscalculations or any mistake.

“Okay” I slammed his book on the desk. “Are you secretly smart and suddenly pla-ying dumb?” I asked cause lot of teenagers tend to that nowadays cause they think being too smart will eventually make people see them like a geek.

“I’m not smart, neither am I dumb.!” Jason replied.
“Okay, well this is good. It’s actually good, you learn so fast, which means we can move to another t©pic” I smiled.
“Whatever!” Jason said with a light shrug as expected.

I started to treat another t©pic and he was just quiet during the whole lesson, he was listening, I think.
After talking about the t©pic for some minutes, I gave him an Example and after solving it for him, I told him to solve another example.
He picked up his pen and paused. “I don’t un-derstand how you got that four” he finally said something, something that melted my heart, so he’s been listening perfectly.
Nothing’s more sweeter than your student listening to your teachings.

“Oh well, let me re-solve that and explain better to you!” I said and took the pen from his hand. I started to solve the equation again and after I was done, I gave him to solve his again.
“And never forget to write down tge formula first so it will come out pretty easy for you.” I ordered, but he gave me no reply, but when he started to solve, he wrote down the formula before solving it, oh great he’s listening to me.

If it was like this everyday, I’d totally be happy.
Me teaching, him listening and boom before he knows it, I’m gone with my money, he’s pas-sed his math exam, every one’s happy and it’ll be like I was never here, so he should just comply.

“Done!” Jason said ma-king me look down at his book, I picked his book up to my face and studied what he did.
“You made a mistake.!” I tell him
“What? Where?” he asked and I dropped the book to point out the mistake and after showing him, he said he didn’t.

“What do you mean it’s not a mistake, look at it from this point where you missed that two, your wrong solving started, the answer is supposed to be six not four” I rolled my eyes with a sigh.

“That wasn’t a mistake a two isn’t supposed to be there?” Jason replied.
“What are you talking about?” I scoffed. “That’s why you’re so dumb, look at this number, there’s an invisible one there and also the next number, add it up together, it gives you the two, don’t argue with me, I’m the teacher.” I stated and he laughed.
“It wasn’t funny!” I stated angrily.
“it was to me.” He glanced at me
“Just try resolving it again and do exactly what I just said.” I ordered and he angrily gr@bb£d his pen as starts to solve.

The door to his room opened and his mom walked in with a glas-s of orange jui-ce in her hand.
“Mrs hvggins?- I looked at her
“Yeah so sorry I wanted check on you guys and also bring you a cold drink Elsa, teaching him must be pretty stressful and I heard the both of you angry voices!” Mrs hvggins said.
“Oh really?” I laughed nervously “Teaching Jason isn’t sure easy.” I said and Jason glanced at me and then back at his book.
“It’s not easy, he’s such a handful. Anyways here is your drink, thank you.” Mrs hvggins said and I took the drink from her and thanked her.
“No problem dear” she said before leaving.
With my orange jui-ce I quietly walked behind Jason without him knowing I was there and watched him solve the equation.
He was doing a pretty good job with it and when he wrote his final number, I nodded and smiled. He totally got it right.
Just as I was about to say “Good job” at the same time, Jason was standing up to either notify me he was done since he didn’t know I was behind him. But unfortunately since he didn’t know I was behind him, he got up and his head hit my orange jui-ce ma-king it turn and the liquid poured on my… My Favorite
pink shi-t.
I almost cried.

“Oh… Sorry” He said blankly
“Ugh” I gro-an ed angrily and watched as my shi-t glued to my b©dy.
“I’m really sorry” Jason said.
“You should be!” I said angrily.
“It’s not my fault you should have said something, I didn’t know you were standing behind me.” He blurted.
Well looking at it, I should have let him know I was behind him.
“Well… Where is your bathroom, I nee-d to get the stain off before it dries.” I said and he pointed to a door,
“Look at the textbook and solve question four, I’ll be back.” I said and made it to his bathroom.

Minutes later I made it out of the bathroom with the orange stain gone and my cloth we-t pressing to my skin.
And the stain got to most p@rt around my che-st

I found Jason pla-ying with his phone and not solving anything.
“Are you done?” I asked him.
“Uhm. No the question is a bit messed up so I was waiting for you to do your teacher stuff” Jason said not looking at me but at his phone.
“Teacher stuff huh? That’s why we’re called teachers, and we deserve respects especially from spoiled teenage br@ts.” I said and he looks up at me.
His eyes suddenly dart to my che-st,
I looked down to see my cloth really pressing to my skin because of the we-tness of the cloth
The lines of my br@ curving my brea-sts could be visibly seen and I looker up at Jason angrily and immediately he looked away, I can’t believe this kid.
“You know I can’t go around teaching you like this, find me a jacket or get me something I can use to dry my cloth.” I said to him.
“Uh what Is that supposed, you can’t go around teaching me like this.” Jason laughed as he stood up and walked to his closet. He pu-ll-ed out a black leather jacket and handed it over to me.
“Thanks now go sit down.” I said and immediately put on the jacket and Zi-pped it up,
“Don’t boss me around.” he said, but sat down anyways.

The number four seemed very difficult for Jason and so I took my time and explained the whole question for him and he did great.
Finally it was time to go, the day had gotten darker and the night was still young.
I packed my books and placed it in my bag, re-ady to leave when Jason st©pped me and asked for his jacket.
“Oh yeah,” I said and re-moved it from my b©dy. “I almost forgot.” I said.
“Good thing I didn’t.” He said as he took the jacket from me. Thankfully my cloth was starting to dry.
“Okay Jason, till tomorrow, be good!” I advised.
“whatever, wow nothing really excites me more than seeing you leave.” Jason said and I sighed heavily and walked out of the room, I gave Mrs hvggins her goodbye and left for home.

I got to the bus st©p and found myself running and yelling at the bus which was alre-ady leaving right in front of my eyes.
Dang it!
I couldn’t believe I missed the bus and it takes thirty minutes for another bus, that’s half an hour.
I can’t Wait that long.
I sat at the bus st©p’s waiting chair and just watched as cars pas-sed by.
The road was busy as hell, the sky was thick black with no stars and different kind of lights from different corners illuminated the whole street, lights from pas-sing cars, the g@s station close by, from different convenience sto-res around and also from the brightest light that shone exactly above my head.
A car pas-sed in front of me but suddenly reversed and st©pped in front of me.
Huh?
The door to the car opened and a big muscula guy walked out of the car, looking a little bit familiar.

“Elsa?” he called looking at me carefully.
He c@m£ into the light and I studied his face very well before g@sping very loudly.
“Neil?” I called standing up.
“Oh it is you!” he laughed and gave me a hvg, that almost squee-zed out most of my internal organs.
Okay so Neil is my s£nior at high school, he was the school’s president at the time, while I was the clas-s president in my own clas-s, I got to know him when we’d gather for like a school’s council meeting. He was pretty popular and smart.
At that time he was skinny and well he had always been good looking and he still haven’t lost a t©uçh of that, now he looks more taller and masculine. I mean it’s been four years ago since he graduated.
Wow he really took care of himself.

“Wow Elsa, it’s so good to see you after so many years.” he laughed as he let’s go of me.
I started to feel shy, I probably look stupid now with my mint coloured Jean and pink half we-t shi-t.
“Yeah so good to see you too Neil!” I laughed nervously.
“What are you doing here?” he asked looking around.

“Oh just waiting to catch the next bus.” I replied.
“Oh… oh okay looks like I was heavenly s£nt, would you like to have a ride in my car?” He asked.
“Sure why not” I laughed.
He thinks I’ll say no thank you, nope that’s not what I was taught, when someone offers you something gladly accept it.

“Okay then.” he smiled as he walked to the car to open the door for me.
