Episode eight
Few weeks later……
Cindy and Angelina can be seen in their hostel preparing to go to work, Angelina have introduced Cindy to the p@rt-time job she’s doing to sustain herself, now they have no lecture and they have to go for the work.
“Angelina what you doing, are we not going today?” Cindy queried Angelina who’s still battling with her lunch
“come on, don’t hurry me, you can see I’m still eating lunch” Angelina replied
“that’s why I told you to always eat quic-kly, you eat too slow, you know?” Cindy asked sitting back on her be-d
“that’s alright, don’t abuse me coz I’m throu-gh now but you know we still have to wait for someone?”
“and who the hell is that to keep us late” Cindy scowled
“come on don’t tell me you’ve quic-kly forget the guy I told you about, he’s in my dep@rtment and he’s looking for a p@rt-time job, so I want to help him” Angelina explained
“and did he request for your help?” Cindy asked still scowling
“Hell! Yes he did, he said he would be happy to work with us and asked if there’s vacancy and as you know that Michael just resigned from the work and there’s no male to help us with the manly work, you are also aware of the manager’s last information and request about it, so I think it’s a good opportunity for all of us” Angelina concluded staring at Cindy
“hmm, that’s good, so what about him? I mean tell me something about him that I nee-d to know,his name…. “Cindy was cut short by the knock on the door “is that him”she asked raising her eyebrows
“I guessed so” Angelina replied moving to the door to open it “HI” a masculine voice from outside greeted “hi, you’ve been keeping us waiting”
“I’m sorry”
“it’s alright, come in” Angelina replied and opened the door wi-der to let him in,
The guy entered and smiled broadly and strangely at the sight of Cindy “hi” he waved at Cindy who stood up carrying her shoulder bag with her “hi” I think we should leave now” Cindy replied sharply “yeah but before then, John meet my one and only friend in school Cindy and Cindy, meet my uhmm, dep@rtmental friend John” Angelina introduced them with gesticulations and they both shook hands together,
Still smiling John said “Cindy, nice to meet you again” “again?” Cindy face lit up “yeah, we’ve met before but you may not know” “wow, it seems you are getting famous alre-ady” Angelina smiled
Ignoring Angelina’s words to avoid more chat and lateness Cindy replied hurriedly “nice to meet you too, so are we good to go?” “sure” Angelina replied and they left the room but John kept his gaze at Cindy with undefined expression……

Episode Nine
Cindy and Angelina stood beside the restaurant (where they worked) chatting as they wait for John when Cindy’s phone rang and she picked it up…. “hello mum”
“hello my dear, how are you?”
“I’m fine mum and how is Dad and my siblings?”
“they are all fine dear, your dad said you will be leaving your hostel soon”
“what!,why and to where?” she exclaimed
“your Dad met with his American friend few days ago and he had planned with him that you should relocate and be living with their family, don’t worry about being treated well,i’ve Speak his wife and she’s happy to have you with her, she’s a nice woman, at least to eat your three square meal per day wouldn’t be much difficult”
“but mum, I’m not saying it’s difficult for me here, at least am doing p@rt-time…..”
“p@rt-time or not at least that place will be more safe for you than being alone. I even want you to cancel that p@rt-time of a thing so as to have more time to re-ad your books and concentrate on your studies”
“mum, I’ve been living alone here,its been more than a year and I’m safe and doing well in my study even with the p@rt-time”
“That’s what your Dad and I want for you my dear ,no more excuses be expecting visitor in your house any moment from now, bye”
She slumped on the wall helplessly with a bothered face as she dropped the phone
“what happened?” Angelina asked bothered
“it’s my mum, she want me to relocate to somewhere else?” Cindy explained
“to where?” Angelina exclaimed wi-de eyed “I thought you said you don’t have any relatives or friends or know anyb©dy here?”
“yeah, but it’s my father’s friend, she said they met few days ago and made the plan”
“oh! Really?, but can you just say you are fine staying alone if you don’t want to go?” Angelina advised
“it seems you don’t un-derstand, this is not a matter of choice, she’s forcing me”
“well, maybe she have a better reason for doing that, at least they’re your parents and I’m sure they’d want the best for you”
Just as she finished her statement John arrived “hey girls, I thought you would have leave”
“why would we?” Angelina replied smiling
“but honestly, you’re too late and I don’t like it”Cindy scowled
“I’m sorry dear, I’ve been busy ma-king preparations of where to have fun tonight”
“again?” C indy exclaimed
“or didn’t you like it?” John asked fixing his gaze at Cindy “I don’t….. ”
“it’s not bad” Angelina replied cutting Cindy shut
“it’s bad, have you forgotten we’re writing exam? and I’m having paper tomorrow”
“well, if you say so, can we have dinner together then?”
“well, no problem with that for me, what about you Angelina?” Cindy asked
“sure, same, no problem”
“alright girls let’s move on”
Angelina’s POV
I know John was less concerned about my approval or not, the only approval he nee-ds is from Cindy, maybe John is alre-ady fallen or in love with Cindy because he’s very concerned about her,but I’m finding myself jealous of what I don’t un-derstand, I think I’m fallen for John but I’m not sure if he know this,it has been his custom to always take us out to have fun but his gaze is always on Cindy and I think he’s only doing this because of her while I’m alre-ady in love with him unnoticed…….
Episode 10
Cindy and Angelina can be seen coming from lectures and chatting as they approached their hostel “hmm Cindy, there’s something I want to draw your attention to and I don’t how you’ll feel about it” Angelina said changing her expression from funny to serious one
“what’s it?” Cindy replied with a changed of expression
“it’s about John”
“John?” Cindy asked “what about him?”
“if I may ask, what’s the relationsh!pbetween you both? plea-se be sincere”
“relationsh!p?” Cindy exclaimed
“yeah ”
“well I’m surprised you are asking this but John is just a friend to me just like you are also my friend” Cindy explained
“yeah, but do you always catch his gaze at you? I mean he’s always staring at you, didn’t you know that?”
Cindy laughed and said “so is that why you are asking the relationsh!pbetween him and I?” she paused but continued when Angelina didn’t answer her rhetorical question “well, I sometimes caught his gaze at me but I don’t think of it as what you did”
“you mean love?” Angelina furrowed
“obviously yeah”
Angelina chuckled and said “well, it’s more than that my dear” Angelina winced and continued “I may not be that intelligent but when it comes to re-ading human’s mind or thought especially throu-gh their actions and expression, I’m so good at that” truthfully Angelina is talented in re-ading human’s thought and she’d always wanted to study psychology but her stubborn dad wouldn’t allow that.
“so, what are you driving at?, that there’s something Jason might be hidden or what?”
“well, I noticed his gaze, it’s sometimes full of love and sometimes” Angelina paused and continued “it’s the other way round which I’m sure it’s not about love” she confessed although she’d been noticing it for long but have took it for granted and revea-ling it now due to one reason or another
“well, I just can’t believe you” Cindy snapped and walked fas-ter ahead of Angelina
“well, if you say so” Angelina replied and scrambled up to her
They got to their hostel only to meet a woman standing before their room’s door in the corridor, “ma’am, are you looking for someone in the hostel?” Angelina asked pointing at the room while the woman nodded in reply
“then you should have knock, there are students in the room”
“yes I have but the person I’m looking for is not in currently”the woman answered,drifted her look from Angelina to Cindy and their gaze met
“your face looks familiar” Cindy said almost in a whisper but loud enough to be heard, she’d been thinking of where she’d see the woman but couldn’t recollect the memory,
“are you Cindy?”
The question j£rked Cindy back to life and make her asked in astonishment “you know my name?”
“wow, glad to meet you finally” she paused “but you really look familiar to me too, have we met before?” the woman asked
Cindy shook her head for some moments and suddenly, she snapped her f!ngersand pointed at the woman “at the airport?”
“oh my goodness!” the woman exclaimed in amazement as she covered her mouth with her palm, happiness and surprises were written all over her face as she stare at Cindy “I’m really glad to meet you again”
“do you come for thanksgiving?” Cindy asked confused
“actually, I’m Mrs Anderson, your mom s£nt me to come and pick you up, she said she’d talked and sorted it out with you so I c@m£ to take you to your new home”
“so you are the one my mom told me about few days ago?” Cindy asked raising her eyebrows
“well, I should have come before today but I’ve been busy a lot, I’m sorry”
Cindy nodded and stole a glimpse at Angelina who could do nothing but nodded back with a smile, Cindy then turned to the woman and asked “so are we good to go?”
“sure” Mrs Anderson answered with smile
“okay, let me get my things” Cindy entered the room and in a few minutes was back with her baggage and traveling bag,
She stood for two seconds staring at Angelina and finally hvgged her “I’ll miss you Angel”
“i’ll miss you too Cindy” Angelina sobbe-d
“it’s okay” Cindy replied as she dis£ngage from her and wipe her tears “I’ll always keep in t©uçh with you” Angelina nodded and Cindy faced the woman who seems to be carried away in emotions as pity was written on her face as she watched the two ‘must be’ best friends saying goodbye
“I’m re-ady” Cindy spoke out bringing Mrs Anderson back to life
“oh lets go” she replied and walked out while followed her but not until she’d hvgged Angelina again and waved her goodbye from being roommate……….
