Episode six
Cindy got to the school (Harvard University) throu-gh the directions she sought from a pas-serby, went to the Dean’s office to fill all the necessary forms she’s supposed to, after that her room’s number in the girls hostel was given to her, on her way to the room her phone rang and she brou-ght it out to check it, she g@sped on seeing the person calling her, it was her dad….
“hello dad”
“hello my girl, how have you been?”
“I’m fine dad”
“have you get there?”
“yes, humm probably I was thinking of calling you whenever I get to my room in the hostel but I’m on my way there, right now”
“okay dear, how’s everything over there?”
“Everything’s so cool and nice”
“that’s good, Mom will like to speak with you”
“hello mum”
“hello my baby, how are you?”
” I’m splendid mum”
“wow, that’s good to hear but I’m seriously worried o”
Cindy chuckles and replied
“alright mum, don’t be worried, I’m seriously alright”
“are you sure? Hope nothing’s wrong”
Cindy bec@m£ silent on remembering the incident at the airport, it’s obvious that she was battling with the thought in her mind, either to tell her mum or not……..
“hello dear,are you there?”
“oh! Mum, I’m fine, I told you I’m seriously fine”
“remember I told you to always share your thoughts and problems with me”
“yeah mum, I know, everything’s just fine”she lied
She knew her mom would scold her if she tell her what happened, she have warned her to always mind her business and st©p poking her nose into other people’s business…….
“alright dear, if you say so”
“okay mum, bye and extend my regards to Jason and Sally” she hanged up the call and sighed but was pushed to the ground by someone who seems to be rushing to a place “hey! you mannerless nut, why wouldn’t you use your eyes while walking” she shouted at the guy who walked back and bend down as if to help but replied back with a harsh voice and frightening expression “oh poor you, and why will you stand on the road everyb©dy’s supposed to pas-s throu-gh” Cindy squee-zed her face, closed her eyes and opened it again, although the expression might be frightening but the face is handsome and familiar ,including the scent of the perfume “oh!” she exclaimed as she snapped her f!nger and pointed at the guy “you, arrogant j£rk”,the guy sm-irked and resume his race to wherever he was going to.
“what a stupid coincidence again”she murmured as she parked her books that fell from her backpack, she noticed a hand helping her to park the books and looked up “I’m sorry, I’m just trying to help” the young lady said smiling as she noticed Cindy’s confused expression “oh! It’s nothing, I mean thanks” Cindy said a bit relieved “the plea-sure is mine” the lady replied as she gave her books and extended her hands for a shake “my name is Angelina, nice meeting you” “my name is Cindy nice meeting you too” Cindy replied as she offered the handshake “are you a new student here?” Angelina asked “yes, I am and that’s my room over there”cindy replied pointing at the room “you mean that room over there?”Angelina asked pointing at the same room “yeah, sure” Cindy replied “wow, that means we’re roommate” Angelina replied almost laughing “really?” Cindy asked wi-de eyed “yeah, come let’s go” she collected Cindy’s traveling bag and move forward while Cindy stood there speechless wondering the type of girl Angelina is “what are you waiting for?, come on let’s go” Angelina said as she beckon on Cindy “oh yeah, uhmm, I mean you are such a nice being and thank you” Angelina smiled and they both left for their room.
Episode seven
It’s a new day, Cindy and Angelina are going for lecture, Cindy is an English student while Angelina is a Biochemist student,they were discussing as they walked to the lecture clas-s, it’s obvious that Angelina is introducing Cindy to the new environment and also leading her to her (Cindy’s) lecture room, they st©pped as the people were rushing forward and shouting “Wow! The Genius is back! The Genius is back!”
Hearing this Angelina giggled breaking the silence between her and Cindy as they move on again “That must be Charles”
“Charles?” Cindy asked
“yeah, didn’t you know him? Oh! I almost forget that you’re new here. well, he’s just brilliant, handsome,rich and genius as you’ve heard, so we call him The Genius” Angelina explained
“so, is that why they are running up-to him as if the President or some kind of celebrity is here” Angelina busted into laughter and replied Cindy “point of correction, Charles is like one of the Celebrity or let me say Star of this institution,dont worry you will still get to know him more better coz his dep@rtment is beside yours…… I gotta go now, I’m having lecture soon and I must not be late. You see that building over there?” she asked pointing at the building while Cindy nodded in agreement “that’s the place…. Welcome to our school once again Williams Cindy” Angelina said as she sl@pped Cindy’s shoulder with a broad smile on her face, Cindy smiled back in reply and waved at her as she left..
Cindy slid into the lecture room and stood watching the students as each of them were busy with one thing or another, maybe we should call it group work or gossip only God knows.
“Welcome back, The Genius”
Hearing this, Cindy switched her head to where the voice c@m£ from, she watched as the two guys shook hands together and decided to seize the opportunity to know who the genius is “oh! It’s the arrogant j£rk” she alarmed wi-de eyed and suddenly bur-sted into loud laughter which attra-cted others attention and turned them to her direction, before she could knew it all eyes were on her with curiosity of why she’s laughing like that, she could re-ad it on their faces.
She quic-kly adjusted herself and let out a cough before she start talking “HI… Uhmm I’m sorry for that. My name is Cindy, nice to meet you all”
“and so?” Charles asked with a folded arms “Huh?” Cindy asked frowning
“you said you are new here, so what should we do about it? throw a p@rty or start jumping up and down?” hearing this the clas-s busted into laughter, Cindy stared at Charles with hatred, re-ady to pounce on him if possible, but Charles sm-irked at her and walked out of the clas-s.
Cindy, still in annoyance stormed out of the clas-s to catch up with Charles “Hey! You!”she called as she walked up to Charles who st©pped and turned back facing her but saying nothing “what the hell do you think you are? How dare you turn my New supposed happy day into bad day like this?, I know you are nothing but an insolent,surly, proud and bad guy but I’m warning you right now, stay out of my business or else” she paused breathing heavily and concluded “you’ll see the other side of me” with this she stormed out leaving Charles dumbfounded……
