It doesn’t sound like that. She was sounding urgent earlier. I feel like that wasn’t what she wanted to tell me. Like she’s hiding something.

“Thanks ” I said and turn to leave.
“Why did you st©p me from telling him your whereabouts? ” She asks.
“Because it’s not the best thing for him. He has gone throu-gh enough and I’m not in the mood to add more. ” I said and I feel her hand on my shoulder.
“But, you’ll have to let him know. He sounds broken on the phone. ”
Why is she sounding as if she’s cool with it?
“You were in love with him too right? Why are you saying all these? ” I ask her.
“Because the two of you are the definition of love. I pray that one day, the both of you will be happy without any interference. “She prayed.

We are re-ady to go as mom has been discharged to leave alre-ady but I’m scared of going back to the bridge, I don’t want what happened today to repeat itself but I can’t say that to her so that she won’t feel as if I’m complaining.

James lean against the backrest of the chair he’s sitting on and fold his hands up to his che-st watching Mark getting drun!k.
Mark raised another cu-p full of alcohol re-ady to gulp them down his throat but pauses and look at James before dropping the glas-s cu-p on the table in front of him.
“You’re not even going to st©p me from drinking more? ‘Mark ask and James nod a ‘no’
“Why? ”
“Because I want you to drink and get drun!kso that you’ll forget what you’ve done and when the alcohol wears off, your foolishness will haunt you twice than now. ” James said and sit up.
“So, it’s my fault? I did what you ask me to do. What a husband should do and what do I get? A pregnant wife with a child that isn’t mine. ”
“And Florence, isn’t hers either. ” James fired at him.
“Why do you always bring Florence, into this conversation? ”
“The both of you made the same mistake what’s the deal? If you ask me, I think Hannah never cheated. ” James, said leaving Mark, puzzled.
“For seventeen years she was faithful, waiting for you to come back to your s-en-ses but bro, you never. She’s human for Pete’s sake. ” He added.
“Are you trying to justify her actions? ”

Annie is right, her brother is a nice guy and we got along pretty well. I remembered the night we were in their house and I could not sleep, I climb down to the living room to see him watching home videos. He was quic-k to s-en-se my pres£nce and he invited me to join him and that was how we bec@m£ friends. He told me lot of things about Annie, and Jeremy, and how he had always tell her to end the relationsh!pbecause he thinks Jeremy is only d@t!ngher out of pity. When I told him that I and Jeremy are together now, he apologize for saying bad things about him. I told him not to worry and after that night, we’ve been close, even Annie was surprised at how quic-k we blend.
“Oh no! Your childhood su-cks, Annie. ” I said ma-king a disgusting face. The three of us are sitting on the couch just doing something normal. We suspend any harsh pl@ylike running and anything that involves our strength, we also try our possible best not to talk about love and relationsh!ps. It pains me to know that a cute guy like Phill!pisn’t allowed to fall in love. What an unfair world.
“All thanks to, Philli-p, I’ve been stuck with him like forever. ” She said and we were quic-k to look at his expression because I am sure that c@m£ out wrong.
“Philli-p.” I called when his smiling face turns into a frown but lights up seconds later.

“I’m sorry for saying that. ” She said and he smile at her before messing up her hair and we chuckled.

How I wish I have a nice, sweet sibling like Philli-p, but, there’s still hope since my mom is pregnant with another cause Florence, is a case closed.

“It’s a good thing he wasn’t mad. ” I said and the door bell rang. I wonder who’s at the door as she went to get the door revea-ling Nanny Best and I had to stand up from the couch.
“I’m sorry I had to call her. ” Annie said and I went into Nanny Best’s arms.

I and Nanny Best talked about a lot and I told her everything that had happened including my reasons for staying away from Jeremy. She told me that he hasn’t been doing well, he has st©pped eating regularly and he easily get pissed off.
‘You have to come back for, J. Mirrah.”she had said.
Today, I have decided to go to school and talk some s-en-se into Jeremy. Just as Nanny Best had said, he nee-ds someone to tell him off from the madness he has been displa-ying.
“Are you sure about this? ” Mum ask me. She’s sitting on the be-d.
“You don’t have to worry cause I plan staying off your stepdaughter too. ” I said jokingly and she chuckled.
“I just don’t want your dad finding out about this place. ” She said. I dont even know what she’s scared of. Her baby bomb is now obvious and she’s still feeling insecure.
“There is nothing to be scared of Mom. In fact, he should be the one scared. ” I said and pick up my school bag but she loos£n my hair.
“A change will do. ” She said and wi-nk at me. Mom can be funny at times.
“Fine. I’ll go ahead. ” I said and made to the door.
“Make sure to ride with Annie. ” She said and I reply by waving my hand in the air.

I let Annie go in first as I keep starring just like the first day I got enrolled. This school is filled with both bad and good memories. It’s inside this school Jeremy insulted and humiliated me. Inside this school, I and Florence got into a serious fight. In this same school, I met my crazy but nice best friend whom I thought was a lesbian…. Lol.
It’s in this school my worst nightmare bec@m£ something I can’t do without. And that’s why I can’t leave this school yet. I have to turn every bad memories into good ones. Wish me luck.!
There is, funny Bernard, bitting from an apple. I smile when our eyes met and I walk up to him.
“Look who’s here, Hilton t©plisted queen! ” He said loudly and I laugh. He also knows that I and Jeremy are together.
“Are you drun!k? ” I ask him and he nod his head.
“Seriously?! While you’re on duty?! That’s not allowed funny Bernard! ” I half yell at him and he begin to laugh.
“Did I say something funny? ”
“Of course you did! You worry too much you know that! I am fine Mirrah. I haven’t even taste alcohol today. ” He said and I bur-st into laughter. This man, really?!
“Okay. I’ll go inside now. ” I said and walk ahead.
“Look who has decided to come back from the dead. ”
I roll my eyes recognizing that voice. My day has to be normal plea-se.
I turn to her smiling.
“Hello to you too. ” I said smiling and she walk closer.
“Tell me about your lonely days. ” She said it like a whisper.
“Lonely days? You really think I’ll miss you? ” I let out a laugh.
“I’m sorry to disappoint you dear sister, your thoughts never crossed my mind for even a second. ” I said and she glare at me with so much fury but still smiling in them.
“I was fine until now. So, I’ll advice you to get yourself out of this building. ” She said with that angry face.
“Oh my gush! I’m so scared! ” I said sarcastically before laughing
“You can actually star in a movie you know ” I push my hair back ward.
“Now, let this not repeat itself cause I might not be as nice. “I said and walk out on her. She got some nerve trying to piss me off?!
When I got into the clas-sroom, there is no sign of him anywhere and when I ask Lori, she said he has been abs£nt for a week now.
For these weeks that I was away, I and Lori had been communicating with Annie’s phone and to my amazement then, Lori and Annie were actually best friends until her relationsh!pwith Jeremy started. Lori told me all these when I told her that how come Annie was having her mobile number.
“If you had tell me that you’re coming to school today, I would have not let you. ” Lori said to me.
What state will he be now huh?!
When school was over for the day, I told Annie to go ahead and tell my mom that I’ll be coming home late since I want to go see Jeremy at his house.

It’s Nanny Best who open the gate for me and when she sees me, she hvg me.
“Where is he? ” I ask and we dis£ngage from the hvg. She look up to the stairs.
“Oh no!
Jerrah didn’t lock himself up” I strongly hope.
I drop my bag on the couch and climb up to his room and had to knock thrice.
“I don’t nee-d any one! ” He yelled and threw a tantrum at the door. His voice is broken. I feel my eyes tearing up and even when I wanted saying something, I find myself crying instead.
“Jerrah!, Jerrah is that you?! ” I hear him say and instead of relying him I was crying more and then they door open. He’s still on his pyjamas. He rush me into an embr@ce and we were like that for almost 15minutes. Crying on each other’s n£¢k.
“Thank God you’re alright. ” I hear Mr. Malcolm’s voice and we dis£ngage from the hvg.
“I’m sorry for missing your engagement p@rty sir. ” I said and bow a little to Ms. Gina who’s with him.
“Apology accepted. I am glad this young man is back to his s-en-ses. ” He said and I laugh except Jerrah, I didn’t even hear him chuckle.
“Time up. You have to go now. I nee-d a time alone with my girlfriend. ” He said and after they’ve left, he close the door.
“I’ve missed you Jerrah. ” I said and I feel him k!ss!ngmy n£¢k. I shut my eyes and allow myself to enjoy the moment.
“I miss you too. ” He said in a flir-ty way. I turn my face to him letting him k!ssmyl-ips.
