Once it’s 2pm, I pick my car keys and rush out and without any word, I drove straight to Hilton High and because of how excited I am, I even greeted the gate men and securities I meet inside the school.
I climb up to the school balcony and there she is standing facing the outside view and she’s wearing the blue dress and park her hair in ponytail.
I smile and rush to hvg her from behind. She didn’t utter a word and I made her face me to k!ssher but, it’s Florence.
“You! ” I took few steps away from her.
“It’s a good thing you honored my invitation, J. We can talk about us now. ” She said acting weird.
“How did you?… You even made yourself to look like her! ” It’s so disgusting. She dyed her hair to look like Mirrah’s and is even wearing her dress. What is going on?
“I had to go to this extent because I nee-d your attention. ” She said.
“Your stupid br@in would have tell you that I can never be interested in you. You’re not my type, and FYI, I don’t deal with cheap girls. ” I said and she laughed. What’s so funny?
“How did you get hold of Jerrah’s phone? ” I ask her.
“She has left our house. She and her mother. ” She said and I ti-ght£ñed my face.

“And she is never coming back. So, you should just continue with me. ” I said and took a step closer.
He rushed me and held my n£¢k with his both hands, choking me.
“Where is Jerrah? ” He ask with that furious look.
“You…. Re…. You’re…. ” I cough using my both hands to sl@p his hands off my n£¢k.
He re-leased my n£¢k and pin my hand to the back really ti-ght and it’s hurting.
“Now. Talk. ” His calm, sweet, ro-mantic voice suddenly changes to some thing that’s scary. This person looks like a stranger to me. Like someone I’ve never seen before.
“She’s no longer staying with us. I don’t know where they are. ” I said and he pushed me. I almost hit my head on the wall, it’s a good thing I was able to hold myself.
“Just pray I find her before the end of today or I swear to you, Florence, I’ll be the one to kill you. ” He said and walks away.
He really loves her! Why can’t he love me the same way that he has loved her?

I and Mom spent a night un-der the bridge and it wasn’t really funny in as much as I know how dangerous the place is for mom because of her condition. I feel for her and I wish there is something to be done. I wanted going back home to get my phone but she kicked against the idea saying that she doesn’t want Dad to hurt me.
I know I went overboard with everything I said to him but, that those not give him the reason to kick us out of the house. We are family and families do have misun-derstandings.
A red SUV like that of Jerrah, halt in front of us and I stand up with mom. I am sure she’s wondering who the person is, but, I smile knowing who’s in the car…..

…I smile knowing who’s in the car.
My smiling face turns into a frown as I see Annie and a beautiful lady whom I presume to be her mother comes out from the back side of the car.
I thought Annie, will never come back and how did she find us?
“You know them? ” Mum ask me and before I can even say a word, Annie, rush me into an embr@ce. What’s wrong with this girl? What kind of act is she putting on?
“What’s this about? Annie? ” I ask her and she slowly pu-ll off from the hvg since I didn’t hvg her back.
“Good evening Mrs. Blues. My name is Annie Bolton and she’s my mom. ”
Very obvious but this lady is very beautiful compare to Annie. People are always unfortunate just like Ms. Lillian, she’s nice and very un-derstanding but God, gave her a heartless, unhappy daughter Florence.
“My daughter told me about the fuss between her and your daughter and nee-ds to apologize. She c@m£ home sad yesterday saying she couldn’t find your daughter in school. We’re just pas-sing when we saw the both of you. “Her mother said.
‘Annie wants to apologize to me?. Isn’t that too much? ‘ I thought to myself.
” Go ahead and have a talk with your friend. “Mom said. I and Annie walk to a corner and I fold my hands up to my che-st waiting for the apology speech..
She’s about saying something when I heard the screeching of the car. I rush out if the corner and there’s no car, my mind isn’t there anymore neither is Annie’s Mom.
” Some one is going to die. “I mumbled to myself and turn to Annie.
“What did you do? ” I ask walking to her.
“Nothing Mirrah. I’ll put a phone call throu-gh my mom. “She said looking scared.
” You better do. “I said giving her that scary look.
She dialed a number on her smartphone and put a call throu-gh and seconds later, she dropped the phone.
” She isn’t answering. “She said and I feel my head ban-ging.
” You’re about to be doomed, Annie, ”
“Maybe there was an emergency. You really think I have bad intentions?
” Yes, Annie. I don’t think. I know. You never liked me and who knows what happened to you all those times you aren’t around. I’m not even sure of you anymore. “I said and use my hand to loos£n my hair.
” I left because it was necessary. “She said.
” I don’t care about you Annie. ”
“What if I tell you that my brother almost died. ”
What brother? I thought she was the only child.
Her phone start ringing and she pick it up.
“What happened Mom? Where did you take Mrs. Blues? ”
She ends the call. Turn her face to me.
“They’re at the hospital. ” She said and I sigh in relief. I thought this girl has something rolled up her sleeves.
“We have to go to her right now. ” I said and st©p a moving cab. Not like I have the money to pay for our ride. We hop in and he drove off after she told him where we’re heading to.

The doctor had said that, Mom, will be okay and he was right, when she finally woke up, she looked fine and was telling me not to worry.
“What do you mean when you said your brother almost died? ” The both of us are sitting outside the ward while her and my mom are together.
“My brother, Philli-p, have a heart problem. We always visit different kind of hospital and he was restricted from some things which include falling in love. You know he almost died, Mirrah, ” Tears roll down her cheeks. I never knew I was going to see this p@rt of Annie.
“Everyday, I watch now my brother fights for his life and then I think to myself. “She sniffs.
” What are you doing Annie? What’s the point of fighting over something that’ll never be yours?! “I know she’s talking about Jeremy.
” You know, Mirrah, my brother is a nice guy, he has no enemy and he doesn’t think worst of anyb©dy but he’s sick and I?, I’m perfectly fine. I don’t have to worry about my heart failing me. I don’t want the anger and res£ntment to consume me. I want to live for my brother Mirrah, I don’t want to cause him pain anymore. “She goes on her knees. I feel pity for her as I couldn’t hold the tears that roll down my cheeks.

They just left my room after I promised them that I won’t go outside. I am in my be-d thinking about Jerrah’s whereabouts and the foolish thing her father did when my phone start to ring.
I check the caller ID and it’s Annie, who’s calling.
Why is she calling? I thought she isn’t existing anymore. But, I answered the call anyway.
