Lotus’s eyes bored into his own and surprisingly, she saw herself in his eyes.
The rain is still pouring and students can be seen going into the building with umbrellas.
“Let’s go, we’re late already” he said, taking her hand.
Immediately the contact happened, she felt the sparks and her eyes wide-ned again.
He continued p-ulling her in, making sure that even a raindrop didn’t touch her.
She kept looking at him as he walked and though she just met him, she knows nothing about him but it felt like she has met him for years.
They finally got to the building and he wrapped the umbrella before looking at her again.
“Starr is my name, I’m a pianist, cl@$$ 5” he said, expecting her to talk too but she won’t stop staring.
“Hey” he waved his hand in front of her.
“Huh!” She woke up.
“My name is…
“Starr, a pianist, cl@$$ 5” she interrupted and he smiled.
“So you heard me”
“Lotus, same cl@$$, a singer” she replied.
“It’s nice to have a pretty girl in our cl@$$, your long hair actually reminds me of someone” he said.
“Who?”
“Nevermind, let’s go” he said and led the way while she followed and as they walked past the hallway, boys tripped, wishing to date her already.
A lot ki-ssed the wall as a result of much staring and books fell from lots of them.
Girls girls weren’t left out too, wishing they have her face or hair or sp-otless bright skin.

Lotus kept looking at everyone as they commented about her, Starr suddenly grabbe-d her hand again.
“Stop staring, we’re late” he said, walking fas-ter.
Normally she should be telling him to let go of her hand right now but she’s not objecting and that’s making her wonder why.
They finally got to cl@$$ 5 and he stopped.
“Getting late on your first day, I hope Mr Roger won’t talk too much” he said and opened the door, p-ulling her in.
Everyone stopped talking immediately and luckily, no teacher is in cl@$$.
“The hell” Martin muttered, his pen falling from him when he beheld Lotus.
“Angel of my life” Bluey whispered.
“She’s Fu-cking hot” Yolanda thought, admiring her.
“What’s this?, Where’s she from?” Ophelia thought, getting jealous already.
The worse is that, Starr is still holding her hand.
“So Starr you came late but with a bride” Bluey said and he quickly let go of her hand.
“Shall we start today’s cl@$$?” Miss Stacy said, coming into the cl@$$ alone.
Everyone quickly settled down.
“Oh the new student?” Miss Stacy said and Lotus faced her, her long hair showing off itself to the cl@$$.
“The hair OMG” Lilac gushed.
“She’s perfect” Rhythm muttered
All the girls started wishing it’s theirs except Ophelia who’s feeling angry already.
“Wow!, You’re so beautiful” Miss Stacy gushed.
Lotus just blinked.
“Introduce yourself pretty” she said.
Lotus faced the cl@$$ again.
“Lotus Watergire” she said.
“Weird name….water..what?” Miss Stacy said.
The students started murmuring too.
“I think it’s just like it sounds…water and g…. like water-g, right?” Starr helped and Lotus nodded.
“Yes, Watergire” she said.
“Singers congratulations, this beauty is in your depa-rtment” Miss Stacy said and the singers screamed except Ophelia.
Lotus took her sit beside a girl and the girl kept looking at her..
“Hey I’m Constance” the girl said and Lotus smiled lightly.
“I love your hair” Constance said, touching it.
“I’ve always tried growing my hair but it’s always on the shoulder level” she continued, still touching it.
“Starr, I should cut your hand and make it into a frame to paste in my room, you Fu-cking held her hand” Bluey gushed.
Martin is still staring at Lotus, not listening to their conversation.
“I dunno why, I’m not a fan of making contacts with girls but….I couldn’t help it, she’s perfect” Starr smiled, returning his stare to Lotus.
Bluey saw Martin staring too and tapped him.
“Tripping helplessly already?, See you distract me, but I’m distracted without you, I don’t know how to focus baby teach me how to….” Bluey sang and Martin hit him.
“Stop making me wanna hit you” he smiled.
“But she’s ha-rd not to look at seriously, she’s distraction for all the guys in here swears, including me” Bluey said.
“Ok attention” Miss Stacy said and they all went silent.
“Each depa-rtment please fli-p over to your pages” she addressed.
“Page 59” Constance whispered to Lotus and she opened too.
“We only nee-d a lead pianist and every singer must sing, one after the other” Miss Stacy said.
“Rhythm you’re pla-ying the piano, then Constance you’re singing first”.
They both came out and Rhythm pla-yed the piano beautifully.
CONSTANCE: Reflect like diamonds!!!

Everyone clapped when she finished singing and went back to her seat.
Ophelia came next and sang her tiny high pitch as usual, receiving the loudest clap-s.
“Lotus why don’t you come next?” Miss Stacy said and she looked at the note before standing.
“Let’s see if her voice really matches her face” Ophelia smiled as Lotus walked out.
She placed her book on the right place and cleared her throat.
Rhythm pla-yed for her and she started singing.
Reflect like diamonds!…
She hasn’t started raising when she started coughing.
Ophelia was the first to laugh loudly.
“I knew it!, You know nothing about singing right?, Then what are you doing here” she mocked.
“Ophelia” Miss Stacy cautioned and she rolled eyes before keeping quiet.
“Lotus it seems your voice lacks energy, have you eaten this morning?” Miss Stacy asked.
“Yes”
“Then why?, Ok take rest, you nee-d a lot of practice”
“Ok” Lotus replied casually and went back to her seat.
Everyone else sang well then the violinists practiced too.
The remaining depa-rtments followed and they spent close to two hours before it ended.
“I can’t wait to get my hands on something delicious, I’m starving!” Bluey said immediately.
“Let’s go eat together at the cafeteria” Constance offered.
“I’m not hungry” Lotus replied.
“Come on don’t be boring!” Constance insisted, p-ulling her up.
Ophelia came over and pushed her, Lotus fell on the chair.
“Ophelia has started again, what’s she after” Starr said.
“Why don’t you just leave already?, You cannot even sing a line, how funny” Ophelia laughed.
“Yes, you should really leave” Lilac added.
“I was thinking I’m worse, now I’ve seen someone I’m better than” Floyd laughed.
“Is she a weakling?” Yolanda wondered.
“I hate what Ophelia is doing right now, how can she be bullying that pretty girl” Rhythm said.
“Look Ophelia, this is not the right time to show how stupid you are so leave” Constance said and pulled Lotus up again.
Ophelia tried pushing Lotus once again but Lotus held her hand ti-ghtly.
She looked her in the eye and Ophelia got scared.
Not like she wants to be scared but the look she’s giving her is making her get scared without planning to.
“Cleo’s descendant, I hate people like you” Lotus said and pushed her to the chair instead.
“Lotus I love you!!!!” Bluey screamed.
“I like her” Alec said from the cellists chair.
“Same here” Colton replied beside him.
They’re both best friends too.
“The type of girl I want as a friend” Yolanda smiled.
“Don’t come near me anymore” Lotus said and Ophelia almost entered the chair.
Floyd and Lilac shifted back as Lotus left the cl@$$ with Constance.
“To the cafeteria” Martin said, leading the way out of the cl@$$.
“You’re so cool!” Constance said, touching Lotus’s hair again as she walked to the cafeteria with her.
“What are we eating?” She asked.
“Have you tried fried fish on rice before?, With a mix of veggies?” Constance asked.
“Fish?, Humans eat fish?” Lotus asked shockingly.
“Well..yes, why?, Aren’t you a human too?”
“No…I mean…I don’t want to eat fish, I don’t like it” Lotus replied.
“Hey girls!” Yolanda appeared.
“Crazy Yolanda” Constance smiled.
“I can tag along right?” She asked.
“Of course, please do, Lotus meet Yolanda,best female violinist” Constance introduced.
“You don’t look like us” Lotus said.
“I’m an American” Yolanda smiled.
“Oh”
“And what are you all talking about without me?” Rhythm said, appearing too.
“Gosh” Yolanda said.
“This time I’m not following you, I came for this cutie, hi my name is Rhythm, best female pianist” she waved.
“Hi” Lotus smiled.
“Look I might just steal your hair away” Rhythm said, touching her hair as they continued walking to the cafeteria.
“Humans don’t keep long hair?” Lotus asked.
“Humans?, Aren’t you a human?” Yolanda asked confusedly.
“I mean….
“She just loves talking that way” Constance replied for her.
“Oh humans keep long hair but it’s rare to see a long silky dark smooth soft one like yours, it’s perfect like your skin and face, gosh! I want to kidnap you!” Rhythm said and Lotus smiled.
Goddess Rivera was right about making more friends, they’re flocking around her, admiring her.
She loves it though, at least it won’t be boring in here.
She looked around for any sign of Starr but couldn’t find him till they entered the cafeteria.
“Our cutie doesn’t like fish so…
“Noodles” Lotus interrupted.
“Noodles?” Yolanda asked.
“Yes” Lotus replied and they all went for noodles.
“So…why didn’t you sing well the other time?” Rhythm asked.
“I dunno too” she replied, eating fast.
She finished the noodles within three minutes and Constance got another one.
She finished that and went for the third one.
They all stared at her as she ate with great appetite.
“Wow” Constance said, holding her hair which kept falling into her plate.
The familiar scent filled her nose again and she looked up to see Starr, he’s just entering the cafeteria with his friends.
“Those are our cl@$$ princess, are you crushing on anyone?” Rhythm asked curiously.
” Crush?” Lotus asked confusedly.
“Do you love anyone?, Like at first sight?” Yolanda asked.
Lotus took another glance at Starr.
“No” she replied.
“But why was Starr holding your hand?” Constance asked.
“He helped me”
“Oh” Yolanda said.
Lotus’s eyes followed the guys everywhere and Starr started looking for her too.
He saw her and smiled.
“Guys let’s join their table” he said, moving there already.
Martin and Bluey followed and when they sat with them, Constance and Rhythm started blus-hing.
They always sit alone but the fact that they’re sitting with them prese-ntly..
“So because of this pretty girl, you sat with us” Yolanda said.
“Who won’t?” Bluey winked.
“Were you scared?, Was that why you didn’t sing well?” Starr asked Lotus.
“I wasn’t scared, I dunno what’s wrong too, guess I have to prepare well” she replied and continued eating.
“You ate three cu-p noodles already” Martin said.
“Wow” Bluey said.
She finished the one with her and Martin gave her his own.
She ate that too then Starr gave her too.
She almost finished that but she suddenly looked up.
“I’m full” she said and Starr made to give her tissues for her li-ps but Martin gave her first.
“Thanks…
“Martin” he replied.
“Thanks Martin” she said.
“Bluey” Bluey said .
“Ok” she replied, wiping her li-ps.
“But seriously I want to date you” Bluey said and Martin hit him
“Stop being an @$$” he said.
“I wanna date her” Bluey said again.
“We can date” Lotus suddenly said and everyone faced her.
“Seriously?” Bluey asked.
“Yes, since we both know how many days is in a month, it’ll be easier to know the dates of each day” she replied and everyone exchanged glances before laughing loudly.
“Holy f*xk she’s funny” Martin said.
Ophelia poured away her lunch and left the cafeteria angrily, her two dogs followed her.
“You don’t have to get angry, she can’t even sing” Lilac said.
“Why won’t I get angry when Starr laughs with her like a maniac!, If I touch Starr he’ll wipe the place I tou-ched as if I have a virus but he held her hand into the cl@$$ earlier and…I don’t even know, I hate her, the fact that her hair is gorgeous and her face is really beautiful…I don’t like it!” she replied bitterly.
“Shouldn’t we plan how to make her leave this school instead?” Floyd said.
“How?”
“Just how we made Hellen and Kira leave forever… Rooftop” Lilac whispered and Ophelia smiled.

LOTUS’S MANSION, 4PM**
“I’ll be on my way” Nam-Ri said when Lotus came out of the car.
She’s just returning from school.
“Where do you stay?” She asked.
“I just roam around” he replied.
“Why don’t you stay here?”
“No, maybe some other time” he replied and vanished.
Anita rushed out and Lotus hu-gged her.
“Gist me! gist me!, Your first day at school!” She said quickly.
“It’d have been perfect if not that I messed up during the songs practice, my voice is in a bad shape ion know why” she replied.
“Aww, that’s sad”
“Yes, but I made three friends… Rhythm, Constance and Yolanda… and three males…. Martin, Bluey and………….. Starr” she said.
“Starr sounds special” Anita said.
“Bluey wants us to date”
“Really?, You have a boyfriend now?” Anita quickly asked.
“I love reading numbers though, so counting dates shouldn’t be difficult” she said.
“Oh mermaid you’re so dumb!, Dating is a R0m-ntic relationship between two people” Anita said.
“Dumb?” Lotus said, facing her
They’re inside the house already.
Anita covered her mouth.
“Sorry!”
“Come here!” Lotus chased her but she vanished and she got scared.
“Anita!”
“Anita!”
No answer.
“Anita!!”
She slumped on the chair, thinking she’s gone.
“Anita” she muttered.
“Right here eonni!” Anita suddenly said from behind and she spranged up.
“Anita!”
She rushed to hu-g her.
“Don’t leave me, it’ll be too lonely here” she said.
“I won’t, if the grim reaper won’t take me” Anita smiled, stro-king Lotus’s hair gently.
Lotus later went upstairs to her room and entered the tub to bath.
She transformed to her mermaid form but the tub isn’t big enough to swim.
She tried singing.
I love solitude!!!!
But un-der a peach tree!!!!
Where the breeze bl-ows gently!!!
She stopped singing.
“I can still sing in my mermaid form” she said and transformed to a human again.
“I love solitude!
She started coughing like the other time.
“Why can’t I sing as a human?, Goddess I nee-d your help” she said, hoping she’ll appear but she didn’t.
She left the bathroom and changed into comfy clothes then went back downstairs.
“Should I take you to where I was killed?” Anita asked.
“Right now” Lotus replied and they left the house together.
Nam-Ri appeared when they got to the garage.
“No we’ll trek, eonni nee-ds to stroll” Anita said and he left.
“So… humans won’t be able to see us enter this house?” Anita asked.
“No” Lotus replied as they entered the streets.
“How exactly were you killed?” Lotus asked.
“I was burnt with a car that was we-t with gasoline” she replied and Lotus quickly faced her.
“What!”
A short but heavy wind blew immediately and a guy in black appeared.
“Grim reaper!” Anita said and quickly hid behind Lotus.
“I don’t want to go yet” she said.
“Roaming around the world after dying is wrong” grim reaper replied.
“Can’t you just give her more time?, Please not just now” Lotus begged.
“You’re not in the place to beg too cos you don’t belong to this world, let her go, I nee-d to take her” he replied.
“No, she’s my only companion please…
“Let her go!” He said sternly.
“No I don’t want to go, eonni I still want to stay with you” Anita cried.
He started coming closer and Lotus held her ti-ghtly.
“She was killed, I have to make sure her killers suffer for their crimes before releasing her” she said.
Grim reaper kept walking closer and she tried using her magic to make them vanish but it’s not working.
“Stop trying” he said and snatched Anita away from her.
“eonni!!!!!!!” Anita shouted.
“Anita!… please!!!”
