Two weeks later (fourteen days)
The school finished the semester exams alre-ady and Priya is going home today… Don’t be surprised, Kim and Jesse didn’t take the exams, those two unserious elements
I esc-rted Priya to the airport together with Jess.. we decided to tell her our secrets today cos I didn’t tell her the other day I promised to tell her something cos of fear

“Same here sweetheart, and I’ll sort the problems you’re having with Golden cosmetics, I’ll call their br@nch manager in the UK and he’ll take serious action” she as-sured
The thing is, since I did the shoot with the industry, my pictures never c@m£ out.. they used another model instead.. the Fancy girls… Rachel and Nicole!, I never knew they were models anyways

“Actually it’s we have something to tell you” Jess added and I nodded

I’ve not been going to work for the past one week, I stayed at home and just did research, great research on how a gumiho or a vampire can turn human and luckily I’m getting some clues but I’m getting weaker everyday, I have two weeks left to go back and I have a crazy feeling that those two weeks are gonna be full of challenges and war… Real war!
I started thinking about how to just make the lovebirds, April and Yung escape this… Then I started feeling great headache and my head Started spinning

I had to go there myself to sign up a deal with the doctor, he must deliver a new born baby to me per week cos their liver is the best.. it tastes much better that adult’s
“We’re sorry ma’am but we really haven’t sp©tted him anywhere” Dan replied as a smell wh!pped past my nose and I stood in my tracks
I sniffed the air again to be sure
“My son is in this hospital this instant” I announced
” Let’s go get him” Dan said
I smiled as I sniffed the air again

“We have to leave this hospital right now” grandpa said immediately he woke up
” You just woke up from your unconsciousness grandpa, doctor said it’s as a result of over working and here you are, telling me to take you home” I complained
” Jesse you should have…
A smell wh!pped past my nose … Like a rotten meat
“Do liver eaters still exist?” I asked grandpa
“Sure Jess, but let’s just get out of here” he replied briskly and I stood up
If I’m right about what I smell, a liver eater is here and it smells like a known someone… Only liver eaters smells like rotten meat
“I’ll be back grandpa” I replied and stormed out
Anita followed me which June stayed with grandpa
“I smelt it too” she said and I held her hand as we moved closer to the smell and surprisingly, it’s moving closer too
Then the smell bec@m£ terrible when we got to the enclosed parking lot
Anita tapped me and pointed at a distance
I looked at the direction and there, standing evilly and smiling satisfactorily is my evil mother… Mulan the witch!

I was shocked too, if my eyes are still in their place, that’s actually Mulan!
What!, She found us?, I shouldn’t be surprised cos of the sharp smelling talent of gumihos
Jess held my hand firmly as the witch advanced with her squad
“Son” she said, her voice echoing in the cool hospital air
“I’m not your son!” Jess spat
“What did you just say?* She demanded, her eyes slightly changing
” You’re not my mother and I’m not your son!” He said between gritted teeth
” How dare you say that to a mother who has missed her son badly, and who’s this little gumiho? ” She asked, gesturing at me
Oh, my face Changed, there’s no way she’ll recognize me
“Go away!” Jess yelled
“There’s no way I’m going away without taking you with me! ” She yelled back
“Then take me if you can” Jess replied, his eyeba-lls turning slightly as he pu-ll-ed me along, leaving Mulan standing
“Get him!” Mulan ordered her squad of like seven… I only recognize one of them as a gumiho
They surrounded us and made positions as they wore facemasks
“Stay still, I’ll do this” he said
“No!, I can’t act like a weakling, let’s do this together” I replied
“Anita….
“I won’t listen to anything” she interrupted and I gave in
She stood beside me and we took our positions as well
They charged towards us and a fight started, I handled three of them including the girl while he handled the remaining four
I leapt into the air and attacked a p@rticular one on the shoulder, I dug my now long nails into his belly and he fell as blood gushed out, staining my face
The girl kicked me suddenly and I fell but I qiuckly stood up to face her again
I gr@bb£d her by the n£¢k and pinned her to the wall as the second guy tried to hit me, I hit him with my elbow and he flew off
I faced the girl I’m holding, she’s a gumiho, no doubt but she’s weak, not my match
I held ti-ghtly unto her n£¢k and sink my long nails into her belly too and blood gushed out as she went limp
By this time, Jesse is also done with the four others
“I see you’ve received your powers back” the witch said, somewhere in her voice, surprise is hiding
I guess she’s not expecting us to be able to beat humans and one silly gumiho, how low!
“But don’t be happy yet, I’m still coming for you cos weather you like it or not, you must be a dark gumiho like I your mother, watch your back cos I might be back anytime* she said and her wings c@m£ out as she flew away
Jesse hvgged me ti-ght
“Good job” he said as we dis£ngaged
“I’ve never seen a gumiho with wings, where did your mum get hers from?” I asked
” She’s a witch like you know, those wings were given to her by Bathsheba, another gumiho witch, but Bathsheba is dead alre-ady, she killed herself cos someone killed her only daughter”
” So gumihos die if they kill themselves too?’
“Yes, ap@rt from the sword of death, that’s another way, a gumiho will die if he or she kills himself willingly” he replied
” That’s new, let’s go back in”

” The next two weeks are going to be gruesome and ugly, or should I say next one week?, You guys have to be extra careful cos I had a vision while in the hospital” I said to everyone as we got home
“vision?” They asked simultaneously
“Yes, I saw Arthur, he’s with the sword of death” I replied and fear bec@m£ visible in their faces
” Don’t be afraid, if you’re careful then you’re good, he’ll trace your scents easily cos black magic is more powerful than you thought, he just nee-ds some Incantations to get your location”

“But like I said, don’t be scared, fear kills fas-ter than death, April, endeavor to tell Yung cos the information might be useful for him though I saw a vision about him too”
” What vision?” She asked
” It’s not for today” I replied before retiring to my room

“Uriel!” I called angrily and she c@m£ over
“Get twenty guys re-ady, we’re going to get my son tommorow evening, I inhaled his scent very well, we should be able to detect his house and just maybe I can see Mona Lee, cos I badly want to kill him too, get them re-ady!” I ordered

Second day…three days left to return the sword
I appeared in front of the restaurant their scents took me to without anyone notice , I’m hiding the sword un-der my robe
All gumihos here, you’re all dead!

“I’m May, your server, what would you like to eat?” She asked and I smiled

I know she can smell me alre-ady cos she’s giving me weird looks but she won’t know I’m Arthur
But her soul is dark and pure, she’ll be easy to use, I should use her against her sisters, I won’t kill her today but I must surely kill someone just to test the sword

“April” a guy called, entering the restaurant and April c@m£ out to him

I sat with Kim and told him all what grandpa told me
“That’s serious, then you shouldn’t even be coming to work, who knows where he might attack you with the sword” he said worriedly

“And who’s that gumiho by the third table?” He asked
” Some random gumiho, so far he’s not Arthur, we’re safe” I replied
” We’re getting out of here now!” He said and pu-ll-ed me up
“Did you see something?” I asked as we go out
“Just follow me” he said as we got to the parking lot but the car refused to start
“What’s happening?, My car was totally fine this morning” he said as he tried to start it for the uptenth time
“Now this is getting more suspicious” I said as everyone around stood still
“Someone froze time” Kim said
“That’s me” the gumiho in the restaurant earlier said, coming from a corner
“Who are you?” I asked
“How blind, oh I’m sorry my face Changed too, didn’t June tell you I was locked in the cu-p with her?” He demanded and that’s when I remembered
He’s Arthur??! What!
“Let’s run, we can’t try to find him cos he has our death with him” Kim said and held my hand as we both ran , time is still frozen though cos everyone is still at a standstill
Then I stumbled and fell
He tried to help me up and almost immediately, Arthur appeared with the sword in his hand
“Die!!!!!” He yelled and tried to slash me but Kim covered me and got slashed instead
He fell down on my arms and disappeared immediately…tears rushed out of my eyes as I searched the ground for him like he’s a nee-dle
“Oh, the sword works, he’s gone, the j£rky vampire is dead!, I never knew it could kill vampires too, this is so good” Arthur said and laughed wickedly as I stood up and gr@bb£d him by his collar
“You bastard!” I yelled and turned but he vanished
“Kim!, Yung!, Kim Yung!!!” I called as time unfroze and I sat on the ba-re ground and almost cried my eyes out…
