“Hey. You’re back” Nora jΒ£rked from her seat the moment Alicia walked in throu-gh the door looking so tired and rou-gh.

“I was about coming to give you lunch” the walked closer to her friend who looked unconscious of her environment.

“Did David drop the charges? Hey Alicia talk to me” Nora held her close when she noticed the time tears that trickled from her eyes.

“He hates me now. ” That was the only thing she said before she let loose the hell of tears she has been trying to hold.

She couldn’t couldn’t hold anymore. It hurts.

“Don’t say that okay. NobΒ©dy hates you” Nora pu-ll-ed her close and hvgged her ti-ght.

“No he does. He said it to my face. I- I can’t live with the fact that David hates me”

“David can’t hate you. He dropped the changes remember?” Nora pointed out in order to cheer her up.

“No he didn’t drop the charges on his own. He didn’t. He told me if it was to be done his way, he’d let me rot in jail”

” maybe he’s just angry. He’s just angry. I don’t think he meant any of that.”

Nora who un-derstood what Alicia was feeling tried as much to console her.

It’s not easy getting to know that she’s still head over heels with someone she can’t have cause he’s inlove with another.

“Why not go in and have a shower so you can eat what I prepared for you. After the meal, you have a good long rest so when you wake, you’ll be yourself again and you’ll be able to think straight” Nora suggested.

Alicia sniffled [email protected] and nodded against her friend’s shoulder.

“Everything’s gonna be fine okay.. I promise… All you have to do is move on.. cause that’s just the best option”

Neglecting the bitter truth coated in her words, what she just said is totally True. And Alicia knows that too but she refuses to believe that as the only option.

It’s [email protected] than she thought.

All these while, she was busy loving someone who can never be hers.

It’s hurts so bad.

*The feeling is back again*..

Nora held her head as she felt nueseous. She’s been feeling this way for the past days. She remembered throwing up in one of the occasion. She doesn’t really know what’s wrong with her.

Alicia is alre-ady in her room having her supposed rest which she nee-ds.

As it is now, Nora is feeling extremely weak like she’s been involved in a [email protected] job for the past hours. She just can’t tell. It’s been long she fell sick.

Maybe it’s a sign of fever. She’ll have to consult a doctor before whatever it is generates into something she can’t handle.

βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†

“Does it really matter what I wear?”

Rosiana shrugged out frustratedly showing off the cloth she was putting on for David to access. It’s closely the fourth time she’s having a change.

“Yes it does. I’m treating you to lunch. I want you to flaunt those nice shape of yours..” David sm-irked in a way that sΒ£nt shivers down her spine.

“I don’t like the [email protected]Γ»ghty look on your face. Besides, I don’t have any better cloth than this…” she complained with a pout.

“Oh, if that’s the case, I’ll take you shopping for new dresses after lunch”

“Aww… You’d do that??” Rosiana gave him puppy eyes which caused a bulged in him.

She’s just so cute and innocent— he thought.

“Anything for you” he smiled charmingly.

“after all these, promise me you’ll take me to see my mom. I miss her alre-ady. But you won’t mention a word to her about the accident. I don’t want her getting worried”

“Done. If that’s all, no problem with that” David shrugged his shoulders in agreement.

“Thank you so much. So back to the main question, is this outfit okay?” She asked…

“Still a Big No from me. Change into something else”

“Urghh!!!!” Rosiana grunted [email protected] Walking out on him.

βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†βˆ†

Rosiana settled with a pair of black jeans and one of David’s tΒ©p. It wasn’t really her size though, but it looked extra cute on her.

As promised, David treated her to lunch in one of the best eatery, and then took her to the mall to shop for new clothes.

The outing lasted three hours before they went to pay a visit to her mom.

Luckily, her mom was getting better a d responding perfectly to treatment.

“I’ve missed you so much mommy” Rosiana hvgged her mom who la-id on the be-d.

“I’ve missed you baby Rose” she wra-pped her arms around her daughter in return.

“Uhm… I’ll go get us some drinks” David excused himself from the room.

“How have you been? Hope the nurses aren’t Rude in any way”

“They dare not. I may be sick, but, I haven’t forgotten how to teach some people manners” she joked. Causing Ana to laugh out.

“So Ana, how has life been with David and his kids? From what I’ve seen, David his really a nice man”

“He’s really nice mom. Nicer than his looks”
Rosiana’s cheeks heated up instantly causing a hue.

“I know that look Rosiana. Tell me what’s going on between you two. You like him don’t you?”
Ana’s mom who has been suspicious for a while now suddenly asked. Taking Ana by surprise.

“Mom…” She felt a little reluctant to answer at first.

“Yes I do. I do like him” she finally answered.

“Does he know about it? ” She asked with a tender smile.

The news of her daughter having such feeling for the opposite gender is a thing of joy to her.

Ever since Jason broke her four – five years ago, she hasn’t talked about any man cause she was de-eply hurt.

“Yes mom. He likes me too. ” She smiled Shyly.

“I’m so happy for you Ana. It’s good to know you’ve moved on. David is really a good man. And you both are lucky to have each other.” She ca-ressed her daughter’s cheeks… Flashing her a cheeky smile.

“So, what does his kids think about it…? The chemistry between you and their dad..”

“His kids are…

The door suddenly opened as David walked in with a tray of lemonade drinks.

“Does anyone care for some?” He chuckled lightly.. placing it at s close side on the be-d.

” You are three weeks pregnant miss”

“Wait. What?” Nora blinked back like she didn’t just hear the doctor correctly.

“Here’s the result” the doctor handed the result to her to see for herself.

I took the letter and glanced throu-gh it word by word. It’s true!

I’m pregnant?

How valid is this result??

I stared back at the doctor in puzzlement and she gave me a * any problem look*

“You look like you’re in doubt miss. … Are you still a vir-gin?” She asked all of a sudden. Startling me.

“No. No I’m not” I stuttered.

“So the result tells the Truth…
When last did you have intΒ£rΓ§0rsΒ£? When was did you see your woman cycle?”

She asked again and I stared in disbelief.

“Why ask all these? The result like you said just confirmed me pregnant. I don’t see any nee-d for such pri-vate questions..”

I retorted nervously. Yes I’m nervous. My heart is racing fas-ter than it should. This isn’t a light result I can just digest.

I’m going to be a mother.

“Sorry. I just wanted to be certain cause you looked…. Nevermind”

She cut off her statement the moment I sh0t her a glare.

With the way this doctor is behaving and with the things I’ve heard so far from many careless hospitals who misplace results, I don’t really think I can trust her.
I think I’ll go for another test in a different hospital.

“Thank you” I folded the white sheet and placed it inside my purse.

She nodded a little before I walked out.

βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“ Moments Later βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“

I stared at five different results in my hand and sighed out tiredly. So it’s true.

I’m gonna be a mother? I’m actually expecting a baby Soon.

Oh my God! I feel excited and same time confused. I just have mixed feeling.

Excited— I’m carrying a living [email protected] of me.. my product, my blood.

Confused— I don’t know how Oscar will take the news.

What if he says he isn’t re-ady to be a father? What if I find my self in a ti-ght situation and the only option is abortion?

We’ve been quite together for closely two months and I’ve he has never mentioned a thing about having a baby.

What’s gonna happen when he says he’s not re-ady for the responsibilities that comes with fatherhood?

What Stand will I Take then? What would be the fate of my unborn child?

βœ“βœ“ I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I didn’t realize the tear drops that fell freely from my eyes.

I wiped off my teary face and brou-ght out my phone from my purse.

πŸ“© Hey Babe, are you home? I’m coming over. There’s something important I wanna tell you.πŸ“©

I sΒ£nt the text and flagged down a cab.

Whatever it is, I just hope this turns out to be good. It’s just nine in the morning… I hope to meet him at home.

βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“βœ“

🐚ALICIA🐚

I drove into Duvel premises that morning. I’ve been three days absΒ£nt from work and I’ve alre-ady cooked up a tangible excuse to give the manager.

I’ll tell him my elder sister fell terribly sick and I had to travel down town to see her. It was so urgent that I didn’t have the time to put a call throu-gh to the company.

They’ll see to my excuse cause I did it for family. If I’m gonna be penalized, it won’t be in a harsh way.

I smiled in satisfaction as I hopped out of the car.
I walked into the building and everyone was busy as usual.

I almost bu-mped into a fellow who gave me a puzzled look.

“Saying sorry won’t re-move a strand from your hair”
It’s actually his fault. He wasn’t looking at his direction.

“Sorry Alicia. I didn’t see you. You still work here?”

“What sort of question is that? ” I rolled my eyes at him.

“Was there ever a time I quit my job?” I shut him an annoying glare before he walked out on me.

“Stupid!” I drawled with a frown walking straight to my office.

It was open…? Why would it be open? Or did the dry cleaners forget to lock it after maintenance?

I walked in and noticed some little changes in the office… The arrangement wasn’t like I remembered.

Well, it doesn’t matter.. sometimes, we nee-d changes in our environment.
I shoved aside the thought and walked over to my seat.

I placed my bag on the table and ran my f!ngersthrou-gh the doΒ’vments on tΒ©p the table.

Hmm? I don’t remember placing any of these doΒ’vments here… Did someone drop it for m–

“What are you doing in my office?”
A lady voice sounded from the door.

I instantly turned to see a new face standing authoritatively before me.

“Excuse me?” I arched in a choking manner.

“I guess you missed your way cause you’re sitting in my office” she sounded clear and bold.

“There must be a mix up somewhere then cause the last Time I remembered, this is still my office.. by the way, who the Fvck are you.. get out of my office this minute or I’ll report you”

I threatened. But she scoffed in disbelief.

” maybe you haven’t heard. … This office was given to me by the management… So now it’s mine.”

“The management??” I arched..

“plea-se leave my office” she ordered.

I stared in puzzlement. The management?? Wait… Is that why that fella was asking if I still work here?

Nah… It shouldn’t be what I’m thinking. Or Maybe this is no longer my office. Maybe I’ve been promoted. Who knows.

“Okay” I sighed out.. taking my bag..

I walked over to her, … I don’t remember this face before. So I just ignored and walked out.

I walked over to the Secretary’s office and demanded to see the manager who luckily was in office today. And free at the moment.

“Miss Alicia… ”

“I want to see theBoss” I demanded..

“Alright” he nodded. Letting me into the boss’s office.

“Sir..” I called.

“Alicia Gomez… Quite a while since I saw your face” he shrugged. Adjusting on his seat.

“Well that’s because I had to go see my sister who was between life and death. But I’m back now and there’s an issue at hand. There’s a newbee claiming my office. I suppose there’s a new change here.. that’s why I’ve decided to come here and ask about it. Maybe the secretary can show me my new office. ”

I ranted out impatiently.

“Well eemm. Alicia you see… There has been some changes in your absΒ£nce. And it affected your position in this company.” He went on ..

” You service is no longer nee-ded in this company..”

“What the Fvck??? Is this some joke or what?? I just told you I was with my sick sister who …

“You’re now an ex-convict Alicia. I heard what happened. This company doesn’t require the services of ex-convicts. I’m sorry”…

“But sir… You can’t just do this… plea-se.” By now, I was alre-ady on my knees crying [email protected]

“It’s not what you think okay. There’s nothing like ex-convict here. I’m not… It was just a misun-derstanding with the police. But I’m free now…” I tried to explain but he cut me short.

“You’re free because he dropped the charges. David told me what happened. I’m doing this for the safety of this company.
You may leave my office”
He waved off.

David??? I [email protected] [email protected]

Is this David’s way of paying me back??? Did he know what he just did??

David just ruined me.

“Sir plea-se I beg you” I cried more but he threatened to call the security on me.

There’s no nee-d to shed more tears. The deed has alre-ady been done. And David just did his worse..

I wiped off my face and walked out.

I didn’t just go out of the company…
I marched towards David’s office.
