Age doesn’t matter Episode 17 & 18

I sat on the third step of stair on the staircase and sighed. I was feeling a bit different today and I could tell, my head was running a question and my mind was running another question I couldn’t un-derstand, I was just so confused. But I know all was focused on Elsa. And then the question asked clearly in my head.
Do I like Elsa?
Of course I do not, I replied for myself immediately, stood up and head to my room,
I quic-kly opened the door and walked in to see Elsa slowly sitting up and cleaning her eyes, she Turned to me and called me in the most sweetest and calm voice ever.
“Yeah?” I replied. “You’re awake!”
“Yeah, looks like I just nee-ded a little bit of sleep I am feeling better alre-ady!” she said.
She moved her black hair back and she breathed in and out slowly, she was still sleepy I could tell. And why didn’t I notice how pretty she was since.
She didn’t look her age at all she was super cute and I just didn’t know how I found myself completely lost and staring at her.
Suddenly her voice snapped me back to life.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” she asked.
“I don’t… I… UhUh yeah so I just went downstairs and I met Dessera, she said my mom called and said you should plea-se stay for dinner!” I told her.
“Uh, I don’t think I can and your mom, she has been at the hospital for a pretty long time, won’t she come back home and sorry I can’t stay for dinner, my dad might have gotten tired staying with my mom” she said and got down from the be-d.
“Uh… Okay I un-derstand!” I said.
She walked up to the desk and sat on her seat which she normally seats on that’s beside mine.
“So what about the work I gave you, are you done with it?” Elsa asked checking my book to see if I was done with it.
“Yes” I replied.
I was acting weird and I know it but I didn’t know what to do.
It’s like a weird feeling when you know something is wrong with you but you can’t tell what that something is and how can you solve what you don’t un-derstand.
“Jason come over here!” Elsa suddenly ordered and I walked up to her. “what’s wrong?” I asked.
“You solved this one the wrong way!” she said cleaning her eyes.
Yeah she’s still sleepy.
“Okay how was I supposed to solve it?” I asked.
“Move your chair closer and listen attentively.” she ordered and I moved my chair closer to her and she [email protected]£d my pen.
She starts to explain the t©pic very low and quietly and it was quite… I was very confused with what I was thinking.
I nee-ded help, cause being close to her like this was ma-king my heart beat like crazy.
“Jason? Jason?” Elsa called me and was looking at me like she was going to loose it.
“Are you even listening to me?” she asked with a sigh.
I moved back a bit.
“Uh sorry, I was quite lost!” I apologized.
“Lost? Okay? Did you impregnate someone, are you going to be a father or what the hell are you thinking about!” she asked with her voice getting high.
“No I am not going to be father!” I replied immediately.
“Then why are you so lost? What are you thinking about? You’re eighteen you’re not supposed to be zoning out every now and then”
She was tired, she let out a sleepy sigh and dug her f!ngersinto her hair and then pu-ll her hair out.
“To be honest, I am still sleepy!” she said.
Yeah I know that.
“But my work here is to teach you not to sleep on your be-d and make myself at home.” Elsa joked.
“Well I don’t mind that!” I tell her.
“Very funny, now plea-se just pay attention” she pleaded and I nodded.
Elsa explained the whole equation to me from the beginning and I tried my best not to get lost in thought again, and I did and finally un-derstood the question better.
Well I did un-derstand the question earlier but I don’t know why I did it wrong.
“Now try solving it again!” Elsa said and moved the book closer to my side and dropped the pen on the book.
“Okay” I said and [email protected]£d the pen and book.
I start to solve the equation while Elsa rest her head on the desk and watched me and I almost freaked out at how fast my heart starts to beat.
Well she has watched me a dozen times attempting to different question. Why is my b©dy acting so stupid right now.
“Why are your hands shaking?” Elsa suddenly ask me raising her head up.
“They’re not shaking your eyes are just seeing things!” i rolled my eyes.
Were they shaking??
fv¢k! I’m scre-wed.
“Yeah I guess so, maybe my sleepy eyes are still seeing things” she sighed.
I wanted to say she should go to the be-d and sleep all she wants and not torture herself but it was like she re-ad my mind cause she immediately said. “And don’t tell me to go to sleep cause I won’t!”.
I smiled and she rolled her eyes.
“Do you know you’re a witch!” I tell her.
“I’m a fairy, you obviously see things differently” she replied ma-king me want to laugh.
She’s clas-sic with her jokes.
“And how did you know I was about to say that? About slee-ping?” I asked curiously waiting for her reply and also attempting to the question.
“Because that’s the power of a fairy!” she replied.
“tch!” I laughed. “No that’s the power of a witch!”
“Okay, if you say I’m a witch, what witchy character have you seen me exhibit lately?” she asked.
Well you’re ma-king my heart beat like the unusal and I can’t st©p thinking about wanting you to make you smile, how is that not witchy, I’ve never felt this way before.
I wanted to say all that to her but that would make me look stupid and that is way too childish.
“First you just re-ad my mind and lately you’ve been reprimanding me, how is that not witchy!” I laughed.
“You are so dumb!” she scoffed.
“Well technically I’m very dumb from your own point of view!” I added.
“Not only from my point of view and I also think, you’re stubborn, two headed and, a j£rk” She said looking at the window.
“All that for just me, I am the most sweetest boy anyone can ever meet!” I said.
She turned to me immediately. (“Never call yourself sweet!”
“Why? I am sweet!” I laughed.
“You’re totally the opposite of sweet” she laughed too.
At least I made her laugh…
She suddenly cleared her throat and gave me a look.
“What?” I asked scared of the suspicious look.
“That reminds me. Have you apologized to Krystal yet?” she asked.
“Why are you asking?” I threw back the question.
“Because I want to know what type of guy-
“I apologized alre-ady!” I Lied cutting her off.
“Oh really? And what did she say about it?” she asked suspiciously.
“She told me not to worry about it and… And…
“You know I can tell you’re lying!” she said. And I could perfectly tell she wasn’t sleepy anymore and it was because of the small talk we just had.
“And I’m done!” I quic-kly changed the subject handing my book over to her.
She scanned my book with her suspicious eyes and gave me a look.
“You’re correct, now I just have an hour before I leave, we can work on one t©pic before I leave!” she said and I nodded.
She turned to me with a smile. Wait why is she smiling? Not that it’s a bad thing or so, it just made her look pretty.
She began, “You know it’s weird but, I like how you listen and agree to everything I say, it’s well… it’s lovely!”.
“Why did you have to tell me that, now I have to not listen and disagree with everything you say” I joked and she huffed.
I like joking or teasing her, her reactions are always priceless.
“You are one beast Jason!” she shook her head.
“maybe I should audition for the beast [email protected] in our school pla-y, beauty and the beast!” I smiled and she rolled her eyes.
We started to work on another t©pic and honestly and I don’t even know where my mind keeps flying to, I was always lost, is this a new disease or what?
But Elsa is right in front of me what else would I be thinking of.
Okay wait. That was too much of me to think.
Elsa got frustrated when I asked her to repeat what she just explained like five times.
“Where the hell is your mind Jason?” she almost yelled.
“Sorry, I’m sorry if you just explain it again I promise I’ll listen!” I pleaded.
She sighed and placed both her hands on my shoulder.
She leaned closer to me. And in a whisper she began “Look! If you have gotten any girl pregnant, you can tell me, it can be just you, me and the girl and we will all think about it okay?” she said and I moved back letting her hand fall from my shoulder.
“What the hell? I did not pregnate any girl!” I rolled my eyes.
She held my face and I almost blew up when her hands gr!pp£dmy cheeks. “Then get a grip! What the hell are you thinking about!??” she asked shaking my head and I Immediately pu-ll-ed her hands down away from my face.
“Okay, I apologize and I promise I’ll listen!” I pleaded and she sighed.
“This is the last time!” she warned and I nodded.
Well I didn’t scre-w up this time, I listened as she explained and solved it correctly at the end of everything…
She gave me a few more to solve and said she was going to get a bottled water from the kitchen that was she was very thirsty, and then she blamed me for being thirsty cause apparently I’ve been ma-king her talk more than usual.
Elsa [email protected]£ back telling me my mom was back and she’s been in her room for almost three hours without us knowing.
She checked my work and was happy and less frustrated with how I got them right and then with a few as-signment she gave me, she starts to park her things re-ady to leave.
I walked out of Jason’s room and he walked behind me as I did.
I never forget to mention about apologizing to Krystal tomorrow to him and he just rolled his eyes and told me he’d apologize whenever he’s re-ady.
Jason esc-rted me out of the door and I was shocked when he entered the streets with me.
“Are you planning to go home with me?” I asked as I stood firm holding my bag.
“I can if you want me to!”
He tea-sed, just like he’s always doing.
“You should better run home before your mom calls the cops on me saying I’ve kidnapped her son!” I tell him and he laughed.
“oh well I guess I better go back too, ’cause I’m being totally nice but you’re just pushing me away, it’s fine, I’ll just go home!” He shrugged.
“Awwn that’s sad! Cause I totally like rude Jason!” I tea-sed.
Definitely love the nice Jason.
At least it’s less stress.
“You’re impossible!” he rolled his eyes and starts to walk away. I laughed and head my way too.
After leaving the hvggins residence, I left for the hospital.
When I got into the ward my mom mom was in, i met my dad half asleep on the cushion he was seated,
I accidentally slammed the door waking my dad, but thankfully my mom was alseep and seemed very de-ep in her sleep.
“Oh you’re here!” My dad said.
“Yeah!” I grinned.
“How was work?” he asked.
“How is mom?” I asked.
“She’s doing okay and when I say that I mean better than okay!” my dad said and I laughed happily.
“Okay dad you can go home I’ll take it from here!” I tell my Dad.
“No it’s okay!” He protested.
“Dad, you’re tired I walked in here to see you slee-ping, go home, take a bath, and rest all you can, I’m here with mom, my job doesn’t start until midday, so it doesn’t matter if I pu-ll an all nighter here in the hospital.” I sighed.
My dad smiled and stood up.
“Thanks dear, you’re the best!”
“I know right?” I tea-sed and the both of us laughed.
Seconds later my dad left leaving my mom and I alone. And I breathed a sigh of relief, at least she’s doing okay!
I was alone and thinking to myself about nothing when a call [email protected]£ into my phone.
“HI.. Neil… Hello!” I breathed into the phone.
“Hi there Elsa! How are you?” He asked.
“I am fine!” I replied.
“Okay so, don’t be surprised, I’m in front of your house now, can you come out?”
“My house? Uh..
“Yeah, your house, what’s wrong?” he asked.
“I am not at home right now actually, I’m at the hospital!”
“The hospital!” his voice was suddenly loud. “What happened to you, are you okay?”
“Yeah, I am fine, it’s my mom, she… She got into an accident but don’t worry she’s fine!” I sighed.
“But still… What is the name of the hospital she got admitted?” Neil asked.
“Look you don’t have to come here Neil it’s okay, and besides visiting hours are closed, only close family members can come, even cousins are not allowed!” I made it clear to him and he sighed.
“Yeah but still just tell me the name of the hospital, I will show up tomorrow” He sighed.
“Okay fine, I’ll text you the address but you might not find me here when you come cause I might have left for work alre-ady!” I expound and heard his intense breathing.
“Okay then, I’ll be waiting for your text!” He said and I nodded with a “sure” before hanging up.
I texted the address immediately before I forgot and I started to think why I didn’t tell him the name of the address throu-gh the call, it would have been so much easier that way.

I stayed with my mom all throu-gh the night and when it got to I was woken up by my mom’s soft voice calling out my name.
I opened my eyes and my mom smiled.
And with a flu-shed smile she whispered. “I have to pee!”
I smiled back and wiped out my sleepy eyes with my hands before helping my mom to the bathroom.
My mom and I talked throu-gh the night but she later found out i was still so sleepy and she begged me to sleep a little, I declined but later fell asleep without knowing.
The next morning when I woke up, I met my dad in the hospital alre-ady and I knew it was my cue to go home and rest well.
It was morning and I could hear the back of mind thinking about Elsa.
Like what the hell.
I didn’t know why but all I wanted to do today was not go to school.
I heard a knock on the door and yelled “come in”.
The door opened and Dessera walked in.
“Oh sera, it’s you!” I said sitting on my be-d.
“It’s Dessera!” she said.
“Like I don’t know that!” I rolled my eyes. “Instead of calling you Dessera, I had to make it short by calling you sera so it wouldn’t waste time. Where the fv¢k did you live in a farm?”
“Yes I actually grew farm with my grandparents! We used to have this big farm but then my grand pappy got… Scom.. Uhm… ScSca… scam.. Scammed yeah scammed and we lost every one… Ev.. Every thing” Dessera explained happily gesturing her hands.
She doesn’t get it.
“You know what, there’s no point explaining things to you, why are you here anyways!” I asked.
“It’s eight thirty and you’re late for school your mother said I should come check on you!” Dessera slowly took her time to compose that.
“Well I’m not going to school today!” I broke the news.
“Why? Are you sick?” Dessera asked.
I sighed. “It’s none of your business sera and if mom asks, yes I am sick!”
“But you look fine to me!” Dessera said.
Okay I’m going to cry now.
“Just go get me a cu-p of coffee that would be nice or no thank you I’ll go get it myself and if I happen to run into mom, I’ll tell her why I’m skipping school myself thank you for your time Dessera!” I said and walked out of my room.
I walked into the kitchen and saw my mom ma-king coffee and I smiled.
“Good morning mom!” I grinned.
“Do not smile with me! It’s past the time you leave for school! What the hell are you still doing at home!” my mom half yelled.
“Well cause, I don’t want to go.!” I stated.
“Why?” she gave me an angry look.
“Cause… I…i
“Cause what?”
“I just don’t want to be in school today okay! And plea-se do not ask me why, cause I am confused and don’t know why I want to stay home either!” I yelled and my mom sighed heavily.
“Are you going throu-gh any breakup?” she looked at me suspiciously.
“No, I’m [email protected]!ngI haven’t even [email protected]£d anyone!” I made it clear to her.
“Then what is wrong with you, why are you so confused? Are you depressed or something? I hope you’re not! Tell me Jason what is wrong with you?” my mom asked with care.
I sighed. “Honestly mom I don’t know, I just want today to speed up so Elsa can come here Tutor me and then leave and bam today will be over and that’s the end of today, I don’t know!”
My mom paused and looked at me.
“So you want to run past time or you just want Elsa here?”
“Huh?” I was confused by her words. “What are you implying?” I asked.
She crossed her hands and moved her hair back gently.
“Do you like Elsa?” my mom asked.
“What?” I laughed.
“What kind of absurd question is that mom?” I crossed my arms.
“Look at you acting all tough and manly in front of me like you have no clue of what I’m talking about just because you grew little muscle all up in there!” my mom said reffering to my bicep and punching them with her soft hands.
“You like Elsa don’t you, and don’t say it’s absurd! Cause it’s not its a normal question and why do you even say it’s absurd, isn’t she worth liking, Elsa is very pretty if I’m to judge!” my mom stated rushing her words.
“Well okay Elsa is pretty and worth to like but your question to me doesn’t make any s-en-se!” I huffed.
“What?” she scoffed “You’re the one not ma-king any s-en-se it’s just a simple question Jason. Yes or no?”.
“No okay! I don’t like Elsa!” I yelled angrily hating myself for lying about liking her.
My mom paused and adjusted her robe on her b©dy. She suddenly received a text from her phone and I don’t know who that was but she was angry when she replied the person, and then dropped her phone on the counter.
“You’re lying!” she narrowed her eyes at me.
“Okay mom why don’t you just kill me!” I huffed.
“I would but I can’t cause I love you, I gave birth to you and I want the best for you, so now just tell me, remember Jason, you can tell me anything okay? And I promise I won’t judge!” She said sounding like really promising and I looked up at her stern and serious face.
I can trust her.
“You won’t judge!”
“I won’t!” she as-sured me.
I sighed “Okay… I think I like Elsa!”
“You think or you do?”
“I do!” I sighed.
This woman,!!
“See that’s nothing to be ashamed of!” my mom smiled.
“Really?” I asked.
“Of course, people fall in love all the time and I haven’t seen you fall for anyone before, I had no clue it would be Elsa!” my mom said focusing back on her coffee.
“So now you know, what do you want me to do?” I shrugged.
“Whatever you do, do not confess your feelings to Elsa!” my mom warned.
“What? Why?” I asked.
I wasn’t planning to do so anyways.
“she has a b©yfri£nd!”
“You mean that guy who [email protected]£ looking for her Neil?” I asked and my mom nodded talomh a sip out of her coffee.
“Well Neil isn’t her b©yfri£ndthey’re just friends!” I explained.
“That’s what we all think, but they might start [email protected]!ngyou may not know. And just look at the age difference Jason and she is your teacher!” my mom said ma-king me feel worse about myself.
“And what the fv¢k is wrong with that?” I was getting pissed. “Elsa is just twenty one”
“And you just turned eighteen! Do you ever see the two of you together?” my mom asked.
Always good with asking stupid questions.
And now she’s ma-king me feel like $h!t. Why did I ever tell her about this
“Mom remember you said you won’t judge!” I stated.
“Sorry but I have to! Look I Love you Jason, cause you [email protected]£ out of me and I really like Elsa cause, she’s very sweet and because she gives you different tastes of your own medicine, but I don’t see any good with you falling for her.” my mom explained.
“You know what mom, let’s not talk about this anymore, I regret talking to you about this!” I said and stormed off to my room angrily.
Ugh she just have to ruin everything, now my hopes of Elsa has dried down and I don’t think it will ever be coming back up.
So what if she’s twenty and I’m eighteen age doesn’t fv¢king matter.
I like her and don’t care if she’s older.
Ugh my mom is such a… Ugh I don’t even know what to call her.
So what if she and Neil are friends.
Feeling pissed, I kicked my study desk angrily and the light wooden table crashed to the floor and landed in peices. Yeah that’s how mad I am.
I started getting re-ady for what and I put on my casual Jean and t-shi-t before packing my hair up.
I had bre-ad and jam for lunch, didn’t have the time to cook, I ate lunch and carried my bag with books in it and was re-ady to leave when I got a call from Mrs hvggins.
Huh why is she calling?
“Mrs hvggins? Good day, what a surprise you called I am on my way to your h–
“Jason isn’t feeling well today Elsa! And he’s not home right now, but I want you to come over, I have something to talk to you about!” Mrs hvggins stated and I could hear the seriousness in her voice.
“Is something wrong Mrs hvggins?” I aksed to be sure.
And she suddenly laughed. “oh everything is fine dear, but it’s about Jason, plea-se just come over” Mrs hvggins added and I agreed before hanging up.
I left the house and hoped it is not anything bad.
